“Teen Mom” alum Farrah Abraham announced she is trying out stand-up comedy.
TMZ reported that Abraham will be performing her stand-up show, “Diary of a Teen Mom,” at the gentlemen’s club Spearmint Rhino New York on March 13. While speaking to the publication, Abraham gave some insight into her decision to perform at Spearmint Rhino New York.
“So my comedy debut, ‘Diary of a Teen Mom,’ to be at a gentlemen’s club, it goes back to when I was 18 and I could get into my first club, which was a gentlemen’s club, and I just thought it was so cool and so fun. And my girlfriends worked there,” said Abraham to the publication.
Abraham also said she had afterparties to celebrate her achievements at the Las Vegas location of Spearmint Rhino.
“There’s such rich, and I’m saying rich, lifetime moments that have happened in Spearmint Rhino, along the eras of Farrah. I have to say there is no shame in the gentlemen’s club game,” said Abraham.
In addition, she said she thinks “there is something beautiful about always lifting up other women.”
Abraham also said she would like to tour different gentlemen’s clubs and showcase her comedy act.
Farrah Abraham Left ‘Teen Mom’ in 2017
Abraham exited the “Teen Mom” franchise in 2017. According to Us Weekly, Abraham was let go because of her adult content. In a November 2024 interview with Interview magazine, she enjoyed her time when she began filming “16 and Pregnant” in 2008. She said the series “was so special” to her “because [she] had no ideas about the entertainment business.”
“I just wanted to do the best thing for my life and my family. I have friends on every kind of other docu-reality-contest-y show, and most of those adults are playing characters, not even themselves,” continued Abraham. “And I think that’s why a lot of people in reality TV have an identity crisis. I was always like, ‘I’m fighting to be my next best self, to figure out who I am and be the best person, not play a character or fill a role.'”
Abraham also said she has never used a persona on reality television.
“I never played myself. I just am myself. I’m just living me. And later on in that journey of ’16 and Pregnant,’ which turned into ‘Teen Mom,’ there was a wrongful firing and there was, ‘Farrah can’t be herself and show herself anymore.’ And that’s when I was like, ‘I don’t need to be a part of this anymore,” said the former MTV star to the publication.
Farrah Abraham Spoke About Parenting Her Daughter
During her Interview magazine interview, Abraham spoke about parenting her 16-year-old daughter, Sophia. Abraham said she wants to ensure that her daughter “is seen, supported, and heard.”
“I learned so much from my daughter. I’m not really a part of a toxic femininity that is egotistical, prideful, thinking they’re above their children. I pride myself on gratitude, appreciation, and just looking at my child with equality and inclusion because that’s what my child needs,” said Abraham during the interview.
Farrah Abraham Gave Advice to Teen Parents
Abraham gave advice to individuals who have had children in their teen years during a November 2024 interview on the “Holly Randall Unfiltered” podcast.
“It’s really time to put yourself aside,” said Abraham.
In addition, she said teen parents should be financially aware.
“It’s time to see what is safe money? What are good jobs that are going to fulfill your financial gains that you need to build a foundation for your family?” said Abraham during the podcast interview.
