‘Teen Mom’ Alum Jenelle Evans Shares Coparenting Update With Exes Andrew, Nathan and David

Teen Mom 2' Recap: Jenelle Evans Slammed For Denying Visits Baby Daddy Andrew

Jenelle Evans is putting her energy where it matters most: her kids, her peace and a fresh start. The Teen Mom 2 alum, 33, is entering a new chapter after filing for divorce from David Eason earlier this year and she’s also getting real about coparenting.

In an exclusive interview with In Touch, Jenelle opened up about how things are going when it comes to raising her three children, Jace, 14, Kaiser, 9, and Ensley, 7, with their three different fathers: Andrew LewisNathan Griffith and David.

“Right now, coparenting is kind of rocky,” Jenelle admits. “Jace’s father [Andrew] keeps in contact a little bit. Nathan, of course, he has his own situation going on, so he hasn’t been in contact with Kaiser for like two years. And then with Ensley, David really hasn’t been involved.”

Jenelle shares that although David has been told he can try to reach out and call their daughter, he hasn’t taken the initiative. “So really, my kids have just been keeping to themselves. I’ve been doing it all on my own, which, I mean, I don’t mind either because it’s more peaceful that way.”

And if you’ve followed Jenelle’s journey since 16 and Pregnant, this is a major shift. Her history with all three exes has been turbulent, to say the least.

Her first son Jace’s father, Andrew, was largely absent from his life for years. The two briefly reconnected when Andrew appeared on Teen Mom 2, but Jenelle has maintained full custody of Jace, which was officially granted to her from her mother, Barbara Evans, in 2023 after over a decade of custody battles.

Nathan, the father of Kaiser, was a prominent part of Jenelle’s Teen Mom 2 storyline. Their relationship was on-again, off-again and ended in 2015, but coparenting has remained complicated. Nathan has faced legal troubles and, as Jenelle says, has not been present for Kaiser in recent years.

And then there’s David, Jenelle’s most recent ex, whom she married in 2017. Their relationship included public controversies, legal issues and child custody concerns. Jenelle filed for divorce earlier this year, and while David has the opportunity to stay involved in Ensley’s life, she says he’s remained distant.

Despite all this, Jenelle says she’s prioritizing stability and peace for her kids.

“I know coparenting can be hard, especially when it’s all on your shoulders and you have no help at all,” she says. “But I think people need to focus on the peace, being safe and creating that environment for your children. Looking at where you were versus where you are now, the toxicity goes away, the pain goes away, the fear goes away. It’s just a lot better.”

While parenting solo isn’t easy, Jenelle is reclaiming her life and finding strength in her new beginning.

To celebrate that, she’ll be hosting her official divorce party at Spearmint Rhino in NYC on Thursday, June 12. The event, titled “I do. I did. I’m done.” is open to fans 21 and older who RSVP for complimentary guest list access. TikTok creators, Teen Mom cast members, and possibly even Farrah Abraham are expected to attend.

“I’ve been through a lot, but I’m not looking back,” Jenelle says. “My focus is on my kids and creating a life that feels calm, happy, and healthy.”
