‘Teen Mom’ Ashley Jones Slammed For Tone-Deaf Halloween Display

Teen Mom star, Ashley Jones is being slammed for her tone-deaf Halloween display. She recently had a party where it appeared she was glorifying murder. Yet, Ashley is speaking out and setting the record straight on her true intentions. Keep reading to see what caused such a stir.

Ashley Jones Slammed For Tone-Deaf Halloween Display

This has been an awful year for Ashley Jones. She has been trying to figure out what to do with her husband, Bar Smith. The two share a daughter, Holly and though she wanted to make it work, it became clear that they were not meant to be. Ashley prepared Holly for the idea that they would be two single women and it looked like she was ready to move on. Especially after Bar was caught being unfaithful but things only got worse. He allegedly kidnapped Ashley but the biggest concern was his penchant for carrying and using guns.

Their relationship is over and done with Ashley moving on. That may have been the final straw for Bar when he saw that Ashley was officially ready to leave him behind. She is protecting Holly which is great to see and she is also celebrating Halloween. That means a big party but her theme was Jeffrey Dahmer after the success of the Netflix series. Ashley had cardboard cutouts of Dahmer and a big sign that read “DAHMER’S DELI.”

It was shared on @tm_chatter and Teen Mom fans immediately went in on her for this theme and thought it was in poor taste:

• Say what yall want about it being Halloween but this is not it.
• I don’t like this. Ppl forget that this was real and real ppl died. It’s just not ok
• Doing a morbid themed party for Halloween isnt an issue. Using real life serial killers to do it, is.
• Yes very poor taste in my opinion.
• So distasteful. May the victims rip.

The backlash was so bad that Ashley Jones ended up removing her post. More so, she released an apology for what she did.

Saying I’m Sorry

Ashley Jones saw the negative feedback and ended up taking accountability for what she had done. She addressed her party and shared she believed that the butcher scene from the Netflix series was likely made up. However, she does realize Jeffrey Dahmer is a real person. Despite that, he has become somewhat of a character in her mind. She understands that, yes, she loves Halloween, but there was another way to get across her theme.

So, what did followers make of her apology?

• She could have done Texas chainsaw… he’s gory and gives that vibe she was looking for
• She is so full of it. She’s not sorry about what she did, she’s sorry she got caught for being an insensitive….(don’t want to get banned so fill in the blank)
• i get it, i guess, but she’s not a child… to be thinking like that is kinda crazy. this is real life.
