This was Jenelle and David's third time in the courtroom on this matter as David had asked for multiple continuances to buy him time to obtain a lawyer.

Despite the delays, David did not have any representation at the day-long trial, according to Jenelle's attorney, Brandon Pettijohn, who revealed the news that Jenelle now has an active restraining order against David to The U.S. Sun.

He also revealed that as per the protective order, David cannot have contact of any kind with Jenelle and her children, which includes posting about the ex-TV star on social media and visiting the kids' schools, and David has to surrender his firearms.

Jenelle's attorney also mentioned that David attempted to make a sovereign citizen argument before the trial even began, but the judge didn't buy it.

In regards to the custody of Jenelle and David's 7-year-old daughter, Ensley, no provisions were made due to their already active child custody case.

Jenelle's attorney said the 16 & Pregnant alum and her estranged husband left the courtroom without exchanging any words.

David was served a summons for the order of protection and Jenelle's complaint for separation last month.

The U.S. Sun exclusively captured photos of the moment, which happened on Jenelle and David's boat - where he's been staying since their split earlier this year.

DOG DEATH

In Jenelle's initial petition for the restraining order, the reality star listed numerous instances where David allegedly exhibited violent behavior, including claims he ran over a puppy.

The U.S Sun exclusively obtained the filing, detailing her claims that the alleged incident occurred during an argument at their North Carolina home on February 6 and that David's 16-year-old daughter, Maryssa, "witnessed the dog dying."

"David has an argument with Jenelle outside of house in the driveway," Jenelle's complaint read.

"David storms off, gets into Jenelle's Toyota Sequoia to drive away without asking Jenelle's permission, pulls out really fast, ran over a puppy, and killed it.

"Kids were at school but stepdaughter [David's daughter Maryssa] was home at the time and witnessed the dog dying. David also witnessed the dog dying,"

The alleged incident is reminiscent of when David was accused of shooting their French bulldog Nugget for supposedly biting their daughter in 2019.

The tumultuous pair have had their fair share of falling outs

Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans met David Eason on Tinder in September of 2015.

Jenelle got pregnant in April 2016 and announced she suffered a miscarriage, then she became pregnant again with her and David's daughter, Ensley, a few months later.

The pair got engaged in February 2017 and tied the knot that September.

A year after saying “I do,” Jenelle called 911 and accused David of assaulting her outside their home. She would later call the incident “a drunk and dramatic misunderstanding” and said she was "fine."

In around May 2019, David shot and killed their French bulldog puppy named Nugget. Weeks after the incident, CPS took custody of all of the children, including their daughter, Ensley, Jenelle's son, Kaiser, and David's daughter, Maryssa.

When her children were returned to her, Jenelle fled to Tennessee with Kaiser and Ensley and filed an order of protection against David in October. She ultimately dropped the case and went back to him.

In the following years, the couple sparked split rumors as the pair would often unfollow each other on social media and update their Facebook relationship statuses.

As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported, on February 23, 2024, Jenelle filed for separation from David. She stated that she filed the documents with “the intent that the separation be permanent” and claimed that Eason had “exhibited concerning and at times disturbing behavior towards [her]” throughout their marriage.

David later confessed to the killing during an interview with People.

DAVID'S ALLEGED ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR

Additionally, Jenelle alleged that David was "emotionally abusive" toward her and their kids.

Jenelle and David are parents of one daughter, Ensley, while the former Teen Mom 2 star is also a mother to a 14-year-old son, Jace, and a 9-year-old son, Kaiser, from previous relationships.

The ex-MTV personality claimed David said things like "I hate these kids," "These kids are a**holes," and "'I just want to run away from these motherf**kers and never come back.'"

She also alleged he threw insults at the kids, such as "You're stupid," "Stop acting so gay," "Little screaming b***h," "Stop being a f****t," and "Your mom is a piece of s**t."

David's treatment of Jenelle supposedly wasn't any better, as she alleged that he told her to end her life.

MORE OF JENELLE'S ABUSE CLAIMS

The ex's rollercoaster romance has repeatedly made headlines over the years, and Jenelle mentioned several instances in her petition.

One was of an October 2018 incident where Jenelle called the police, claiming that David physically attacked her, injuring her collarbone.

Jenelle noted that doctors at the hospital said her collarbone was torn and that she still experiences pain to this day.

The reality TV alum didn't press charges against her husband, who claimed it was a drunken misunderstanding.
