Kailyn Lowry’s son, Rio, recently got his ultrasound done. The diva shared that photo on Instagram, and fans started asking why such a young kid was getting an ultrasound. She later explained that her son had developed a lump above his belly button. Doctors initially assumed it was a small hernia and started treatment.

She thought the lump came from the ISI swim lesson, as Rio had to roll over and float on his back. So, she assumed the stress created the little lump, and since it looked like a hernia, she didn’t worry. The doctor told her not to stress and said the lump would go away on its own. However, over time, Kailyn realized the lump was getting worse and growing in size.

The lump started protruding out of his abdomen, so they rushed to a pediatrician. After a few scans and an ultrasound, the pediatrician confirmed it wasn’t a hernia. Her stomach sank, and as a mom, she felt very scared. The doctor revealed the lump could possibly be a neoplasia or a tumor. They will now need to run a few more tests and perform a biopsy to check if it’s cancerous.

Kailyn further revealed that the next step is to get the biopsy done and then remove the lump. She is asking her followers to learn from her mistake and always seek a second opinion.
