From getting (another) get-out-of-jail free card, to getting a new body, it’s been a busy week for the stars/former stars of the Teen Mom franchise! In an effort to bring you up-to-date on the latest Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 news, The Ashley brings you the Teen Mom News Pile.
Here are some of the major (and minor but interesting) ‘Teen Mom’-related things that happened over the last week or so…
Leah Shirley Speaks Out One Week After Her Mom Amber Portwood Ripped Her Dad, Gary, on TikTok

It’s been more than a week since Amber’s TikTok tirade against her baby daddy, Gary, and, while Gary has remained silent on the horrific claims that Amber made against him, their daughter Leah is speaking out about how she feels about her parents.
As The Ashley previously reported, Amber unleashed on Gary during a TikTok Live in the wee hours of Christmas Eve, calling her ex a bad dad, a “pedo” and accusing Gary of raping her and forcing her to get an abortion, among other things. Amber stated that she was angry that Gary had cut her off from 16-year-old Leah. Unfortunately (for Amber), the accusations did not seem to have the effect Amber likely expected, with the public overwhelming siding with Gary. Fans (and even Amber’s ‘Teen Mom’ co-star Briana DeJesus) called out Amber for not considering her daughter’s feelings before disparaging her father on a public forum in that way.
(As ‘Teen Mom’ fans know, Amber and Leah have had a rocky relationship for years and, currently, Leah does not have contact with Amber, something Amber is not happy about.)
Leah herself recently voiced her opinion on whether Amber or Gary is the better parent. When a ‘Teen Mom’ Facebook fanpage posed the question to its followers on December 30, the response was overwhelmingly in Gary’s favor, with many expressing that Gary has been a great parent to Leah, something Leah herself agreed with.
In response to the fanpage’s question: “Opinion Time: The better parent for Leah… Amber or Gary?” Leah— using her personal Facebook page– answered the question, “My dad.”
“Is that even a question… Gary has been there non-stop for Leah since the day she was born. Always putting her, safety, health and well-being before anything,” one person wrote.
“There’s no question it’s Gary and [his wife] Kristina they have been the only parents she’s known, another person wrote. “Amber brings her trauma, chaos and pain.”
Amber is due to appear on the upcoming season of ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ (at least, as of press time!). The new season will reportedly show Gary accuse Amber of owing him years’ worth of child support for Leah.
Charges Dropped Against Adam Lind for Recent Domestic Violence Arrest

Adam Lind, the baby daddy of Chelsea Houska, will not face further repercussions for his September arrest for domestic assault, Starcasm reports, as the trio of charges the former ‘Teen Mom 2’ dad was facing were dismissed on December 19, following a motion by the prosecutor in the case.
As The Ashley previously told you, Adam landed in his old hangout jail in September after being arrested on three domestic “Simple Assault” charges: Attempt/Has Ability to Cause Bodily Injury to a female victim; Recklessly Causing Bodily Injury-Domestic to the same female victim; and Causing Bodily Injury-Domestic.

Adam, whose insanely long criminal history is well-known to ‘Teen Mom’ fans, pleaded guilty to the three misdemeanor charges on September 23– the same day that he was issued a no-contact order, barring him from having any contact with the alleged victim, as well as the alleged victim’s family.
The faux-hawk-having former MTV star was also ordered in September to maintain “good behavior” and to stay in contact with his lawyer.
A local source confirmed to The Ashley that Adam is no longer dating the woman allegedly involved in the domestic violence incident, who at the time of Adam’s arrest, had the same address as Adam, suggesting the two were living together.
Even more shocking than Adam dodging multiple charges (again), is the fact that, according to The Ashley’s South Dakota source, the legally challenged former ‘Teen Mom 2’ dad has since begun dating someone new.

As you may remember, Chelsea gave an equally surprising update on Adam last year while doing press for her HGTV show Down Home Fab.
“Our relationship, it’s fine,” she said of her daughter Aubree’s father. “We’re not best friends, but we’re not enemies at all. If I were to see him, there would be no bad feelings at all.

“I think it helps that Aubree is a teenager now and there really isn’t a lot of having to work things out [for them],” she continued. “It really is fine.”
Catelynn Lowell & Tyler Baltierra’s Octagon ‘O Triggers is Back on the Market

The historical octagon-shaped farmhouse made infamous by Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra is back on the market, nearly five months after the listing was removed.

Cate and Tyler were previously asking $449,000 for the three-bedroom, three-bathroom Michigan farmhouse, but they’ve now listed their As Seen On (M)TV residence for the decreased price of $425,000.
While Catelynn and Tyler no longer live in the house, they still own it and have been trying to offload it for more than a year without any luck.

Back in July, it was reported that the farmhouse was in pre-foreclosure due to the ‘Teen Mom’ couple not paying property taxes on the home for the 2022 tax year.
According to records obtained by The Sun, a Certificate of Forfeiture of Real Property was filed in March 2024, stating that Tyler and Cate would lose the property if they failed to pay the taxes they owed on the home, which, at the time, totaled just over $5,000. Cate and Tyler were reportedly given until March 31, 2025 to make the payment.

Catelynn and Tyler purchased their farmhouse– which was built in 1869– for $220,000 in 2017. The current listing for the residence notes that the home features an updated kitchen and fully remodeled bathrooms, as well as a (currently questionable-looking) pool and wraparound porch.
“This GORGEOUS Octagon house is full of history!” the Zillow listing reads. “ … This home has been completely updated while preserving the historical integrity.”

Kail Lowry Kicks Off the New Year with a New Bod

Kail Lowry began 2025 recovering from breast reduction surgery after confirming to fans on social media at the end of December that she had once again gone under the knife.
As The Ashley previously told you, the former ‘Teen Mom 2’ star– who also shared with fans this week that she had a lip flip procedure performed in her latest round of improvements– revealed on her Coffee Convos podcast last month that she was getting her breasts redone at the end of December, telling listeners she was “ready to be a much smaller version of myself in 2025.”

Before having surgery, the mom of seven told podcast listeners that she had given her plastic surgeon different photos of Khloe Kardashian’s boobs to show what kind of revamped-rack she was hoping for.
“She’s 5’10 and I’m 5’8 and I think she probably has a similar build,” Kail said. “I don’t know how [to get as] fit and thin as she is, outside of surgeries and probably the gym.”
Prior to receiving the go-ahead to go under the knife (again), Kail claimed in May that she had been trying to find a doctor to perform the procedure for months, but had been informed by doctors that she could not undergo a breast augmentation until she had lost weight.

According to Kail, doctors told her that her body mass index (BMI) was “entirely too high to operate,” and that she would need to lose 40 to 50 pounds before being approved for her desired procedure(s).
As fans of ‘Teen Mom 2’ likely remember, Kail has already undergone at least one breast augmentation in her life, as well as a tummy tuck, a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) and Lipo360.

Shortly after giving birth to her twins Valley and Verse in 2023, Kail admitted on her Barely Famous podcast that she regrets letting Dr. Miami inflate her rear end with a BBL in 2016, and that she wanted to have the procedure reversed. Kail also stated that she regrets getting her first “Mommy Makeover” before she was done having children.
