Teen Mom's Leah Shirley Tells Cheyenne Floyd She 'Can't Handle' Back and Forth with Amber Portwood Anymore

The 16-year-old catches up with fellow Teen Mom: The Next Chapter personality, Cheyenne Floyd Davis, during a birthday party for Jade Cline's daughter Kloie. As little sister Emily played with other kids, the teen shared the latest in her life.

After Leah mentions that stepmom Kristina Shirley was the one who taught her how to drive, Cheyenne says, "You guys have a good relationship, from what I can tell." She then asks if Leah's friends know that she's on TV.

"Oh yeah. People come up to me and they say stuff about Amber," the teen says. "They just like know what's happened and stuff."

Cheyenne asks if Leah has spoken to Amber, to which Leah says, "Not really. I haven't really talked to her or haven't really seen her in a while."

"I'm sorry," Cheyenne says.

"It's fine. I don't really care anymore. I like kind of want Kristina to adopt me. I've been wanting it for a while... Just because Kristina's been there for me since I was in kindergarten and even before that too."

Leah also noted that when her biological mom is around, "She acts like everything is perfectly fine. It's like, 'I haven't seen you in months, why are you talking to me like this?'"

Cheyenne asks if Leah's ever told Amber how she feels. The teen admits she hasn't because "I'm scared to."

"Obviously, she has a lot of different things going on, lots of difficulties. I just feel like I can't handle it... I wish I could."

"You're a kid and you shouldn't have to," Cheyenne replies. "Maybe one day, hopefully, you guys are able to at least talk and you're able to at least explain how you feel — not to hurt her feelings, but so that you at least get to have your voice."

In a confessional, the mom of two, who is trying for baby no. 3 throughout the season, says the situation is "unfortunate and sad."

"Because Leah seems like such a great kid and I could not imagine not showing up for Ryder, and there's nobody that could keep me from showing up for Ryder, nobody. Nothing," Cheyenne says.

"These past few weeks of like dealing with Ryder's health, dealing with like fertility issues, it's really hard to understand. I would be at their house damn near every day, trying to fight for my relationship with my child."

Teen Mom: The Next Chapter airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
