Amber Portwood is no stranger to drama, but this time, the stakes are higher than ever. The Teen Mom star is fighting tooth and nail after her ex, Andrew Glennon, won custody of their son, James, and received the green light to move the preschooler from Indiana to a Malibu mansion.
The ongoing custody saga took a dramatic turn on Wednesday when an Indiana judge ruled that 4-year-old James would relocate to California with his dad. This decision follows a grueling legal battle between the 32-year-old reality star and Andrew, with Amber's representative confirming the gut-wrenching news to PEOPLE.
Amber Said She’s “Devastated” By The Court’s Decision
Taking to Instagram, Amber didn't hold back her emotions. "I'm devastated and heartbroken by this outcome," she wrote. "I've worked so hard to better myself and improve my relationships with my children."
Amber, known for her turbulent past with substance abuse and mental health issues, highlighted her journey towards redemption.
"A person should have a chance to redeem themselves and not be tethered to their issues from the past," she declared, adding that those who have sought therapy and made sincere efforts to change should not be eternally punished for past mistakes.
Amber didn’t stop there. "I've spent years rebuilding my bridges and did everything that was required of me, including completing 21 negative drug tests and multiple psychological evaluations," she emphasized. Amber's dedication to self-improvement is undeniable, but the judge's decision still stings.
