Amber Portwood has been quite controversial throughout her journey on MTV’s Teen Mom. The diva has not been on the best of terms with her daughter, Leah. However, she attacks her and her father every chance she gets. Recently, Amber revealed that the makers are planning to bring in a spinoff. But it is not what you’re expecting. A while back, there was a lot of confusion about whether Teen Mom: The Next Chapter would come back with another season, and now we have a major update about a possible spinoff.
Amber Portwood had previously quit Teen Mom on a sour note. She even went live to bash the makers for trying to portray her in a negative light. Things fell flat when her daughter sided with the producers, and Leah even said she didn’t want to have any relation with Amber.
Teen Mom star Amber Portwood had numerous issues with the show and finally quit it. According to inside sources, Amber quit the show of her own will. She officially told the producer, Larry Musnik, that she was done with it and even told MTV executives about her issues.
Amber went live on TikTok and ranted about it. She revealed she was finally at peace with the fact that she had left the show. Amber lashed out at the channel and claimed she’s done with the reality series. She said, “You’re not about to say that you’re dropping me when I quit the show days ago!”
Amber Portwood loves to go live on TikTok, cry about life, and share her emotions. However, this time, it was something else. For the first time in her life, she was not blaming others for her misery, but some habits die hard. She was indeed back at bashing MTV, but she revealed a juicy update on the way. The former reality TV star revealed that MTV is planning to bring a spinoff. While The Next Chapter was kind of a spinoff of the OG teen moms, they are focusing on the kids this time.
She revealed that MTV wants to focus on every kid born on the network, their lives, and how they are currently doing. She did not reveal more details, but she claimed that her 16-year-old daughter, Leah, is being prepared for it. However, Portwood is not fond of that idea and doesn’t want her to star in the show.
She further added that she even told MTV she didn’t want her daughter to be a part of the spinoff. But Leah is interested, and even her dad, Gary, is supporting her. Even in the current season, Leah has been the center of attention, and she has revealed a lot about her personal life. Only a few days back, she even accepted that she liked being on TV and was grateful to MTV.
Fans think it’s a terrible idea that MTV wants to cover the kids’ lives. At this point, the kids are teens, and attaining fame at such a young age can adversely affect their growth. Many OG teen moms have previously shared that getting famous so young was not a good thing. Keep coming back to TV Season & Spoilers for all the latest Teen Mom updates.
