“Teen Mom” star Cheyenne Floyd has been lending a helping hand to those affected by the Eaton fire in Southern California.
In a series of January 10 Instagram Stories, Floyd showed that she was helping pack donations for those who had lost their belongings. Floyd also shared she was volunteering at the nonprofit organization, Flintridge Center in Pasadena, California, to help collect donations. In one Instagram Story, Floyd showed that she teamed up with Carl’s Jr. to “come out and serve everybody” free of charge at the Flintridge Center.
“Got food truck to feed everyone at a donation center,” captioned Floyd.
In addition, Floyd, who grew up and lives in the Los Angeles area, has been sharing links to different GoFundMe fundraisers for those who had lost their home because of the Eaton fire.
“Watching the city you grew up in being burnt down is a different kind of hurt,” wrote Floyd in one of her Instagram Stories.
Floyd’s ex-boyfriend, Cory Wharton, the father of her 7-year-old daughter, Ryder, shared he was thinking of those affected by the fires in a January 9 Instagram post.
“I also want to say this, to all those families that were affected by the fires 🔥 stay safe & our prayers are with you LA🌴We don’t have power but we are safe & that’s what’s important. 🙏🏽,” wrote Wharton in the post’s caption.
In a thread on the TeenMomOGandTeenMom2 subreddit, several Reddit users applauded Floyd for her efforts.
“Genuinely a good thing. These massive fires year after year have to be traumatizing,” wrote a commenter.
“THIS IS WHAT I LOVE TO SEE!!!! GOOD ON HER AND HER FAMILY FOR GIVING BACK.🥰,” shared a different person.
“amazing of her to use her platform during such a crucial time. happy to see her helping out during such a heartbreaking time. ❤️,” added another.
“This is refreshing to see outside of the usual drama… would be nice if some of the other TM cast members would use their platforms to encourage others to donate or volunteer. ‘Thoughts and prayers’ seem trite, but I really do hope those in the area are able to evacuate and stay safe and that the fires will be out soon,” commented a Reddit user.
In a September 2024 interview with People magazine, alongside her husband Zach Davis, the father of her son Ace, Floyd shared she would like to expand their family.
“We actually have been trying to get pregnant. And just send us good baby vibes, and hopefully we’re able to get pregnant soon,” said the mother of two to the publication.
Floyd will appear in the upcoming 3rd season of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter,” which premieres on January 30.
