It’s been a rough few days for Jenelle Evans.
The fired Teen Mom star has been catching a lot of flak for continuing to party with her pal Tori Rhyne, despite having to call 911 on her son Jace on Saturday. Fans slammed Jenelle for posting as she shopped for lingerie, filmed for OnlyFans and had a la-dee-dah time with Tori while her 15-year-old was seemingly struggling. (As The Ashley told you, Jenelle asked the police to take Jace away and put him on an involuntary hold for “smashing everything” in her Vegas home, but was told no.)
After several days of getting harsh criticism online, Jenelle took to Facebook to declare that she’s putting her “family first,” despite her “busy” schedule…and it did not go over well.
“I’m so busy but put everything on pause for my babies #FamilyFirst,” Jenelle wrote.
Given Jenelle’s actions after the 911 call— which include selling the story about Jace to a clickbait site (as you do)— her “family first” comment was not well-received. Nearly all of the more than 300 comments left under the post were negative.
“You have never done anything for your babies besides birth them,” one person wrote.
“Yeah you’re only saying that cuz a bunch of people have called you out!” another person commented. “Trying to save your image again but it’s ruined so you might as well give up.”
“Damage control,” someone else wrote. “It’s pretty sad.”
“Unless you already planned to go get drunk with Tori in another state.. that can’t be paused for NOBODAAAAY,” another comment read.
Jenelle attempted to defend herself (and her post), but ended up putting her foot in her mouth even more, thanks to her admitting that she has to force herself to act like a mother.
“This post refers to all my business I’ve been doing lately and just getting behind because I force myself to be a mother before anything else, like I always have,” Jenelle insisted, before stating that she has changed since her 16 and Pregnant days.
“A highly edited tv show doesn’t always show the truth, but you all are gullible to still believe I’m ’16 years old’ in your heads. I’m 33 now, time to move on from the stereotype I’ve been given,” she wrote.
When someone advised Jenelle to keep her kids off social media, Jenelle insisted that she has been, only to be called out again for posting a clickbait story about Jace two days earlier, essentially profiting off the situation.
Jenelle then busted out a “Portwood,” insisting she’s a damn good mom despite what people think.
“I’m such a good mother I actually care too much about all my children,” she wrote. “Until you know me personally you don’t have any right to give an opinion on my life. Haven’t been on tv in years.”
