Teen Mom star Cheyenne Floyd opened up about her fertility struggles as she and her husband, Zach Davis, attempt to become pregnant with their second child together in a teaser clip exclusively shared by In Touch.
In a teaser clip for the Thursday, April 3, episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Cheyenne, 32, explained that she was trying to not “stress” herself out because “apparently stress is one of the reasons why I could not be getting pregnant.”
As Cheyenne continued to struggle to become pregnant, she explained that her sister, R KyleLynn Floyd, suggested that she do a “vaginal steaming.”
“I’ve never done one before, but I heard that it could help with stress, so I made an appointment to try it out with my friend Zaina,” Cheyenne continued in a voiceover as she pulled up to a spa
A vaginal steaming is “an age-old natural remedy said to cleanse the vagina and uterus, regulate menstruation and ease period cramps and bloating,” according to Healthline. The process “directs herb-infused steam into your vagina” as you “sit or squat over a container of herbal-infused steam.”
Once Cheyenne and Zaina made it to the spa, they were instructed to straddle the pot. “It’s gonna help, you know, balance you out and it’s a good detoxing,” the employee explained.
The friends quickly expressed their discomfort, and Cheyenne said the steam was “hot as f–k.” However, Zaina reminded her that they were participating in the vaginal steaming for specific reasons. “You think fertility,” she told Cheyenne. “I’ll think hormone balance.”
Cheyenne quickly got her and Zaina’s minds off the steam by sharing an update about her last doctor’s appointment about her fertility. “I know it’s gonna sound bad, but when we came back and did the second appointment and she’s like, ‘Oh no, now he’s fine. Now it’s you,’” Cheyenne recalled about Zach’s sperm count. “And then it kind of like, was it, it’s like, damn.”
