It’s no secret that Jenelle Evans’ custody situation with her kids has been up and down through the years. The Teen Mom star has twice lost custody of her oldest son due to her partying ways and alleged domestic violence at the hands of her ex, David Eason — and she temporarily lost custody of her younger two children following a 2019 animal abuse situation involving David. Recently, however, Jenelle offered an update about her daughter Ensley’s custody following her and David’s split.
To recap, Jenelle is a mom of three. She welcomed her son, Jace, 14, with her ex, Andrew Lewis, followed by her son, Kaiser, 9, with her ex, Nathan Griffith. The MTV star also shares Ensley, 7, with David. In February, Jenelle filed for legal separation from David after he allegedly ran over another of their dogs; she was also granted a restraining order against David in May.
Recently, a fan pointed out that Jenelle has not posted about Ensley lately.
One of Jenelle’s followers recently commented on an Instagram video of her and Ensley eating macarons. The follower wrote, in part, “We haven’t seen her in so long. I’m praying seeing her means all that stuff with david is done and that u won baby!!!”
The 'Teen Mom' star posted a direct response.
On September 25, Jenelle took to Instagram to address why she hadn’t been posting about Ensley.
“Yeah, I know. I haven’t really shown Ensley and not really on purpose,” Jenelle explained. “I was still allowed to show her on social media. I just, I don’t know, been spending more time with the boys because they had doctor’s appointments, teeth checkups, stuff like that.”
Jenelle also claimed she now has full custody of Ensley.
In her video response, Jenelle also offered an update on the custody situation involving her daughter.
“Yes, I did get full custody of Ensley, which it wasn’t shown on the season finale,” she revealed. “But I have been awarded sole and full custody of Ensley. And I’m really excited about that. I’m really happy about that.
In the clip, the mom of three also shared that her daughter 'really likes to be on camera.'
After confirming that she is allowed to post about Ensley, she shared that her daughter “really likes to be on camera.”
“And I can tell she has the mind of a content creator, a film editor, pop star, I don’t know,” the 32-year-old explained. “She just wants to perform for people. That’s just what she wants to do, and it’s really crazy thinking about because I’m just like, dang, she is like a mini-me … I’m excited to see how her future will play out.”
Jenelle shared an update following her family's move from North Carolina to Las Vegas.
Although Jenelle said her “headspace hasn’t been that great” and she’s “slowed down on content,” she promised fans she would soon share more details about her life.
“Life here is great with the kids. We’re settling down here in Vegas pretty well,” she shared. “Everything’s been running really smoothly. It’s just, I’m not used to restricting my content and only posting certain things.”
Hopefully, for fans, Jenelle will offer more insight into her life when she is ready.
