In a teaser clip for the Thursday, January 30, premiere episode, Leah, 32, was shown in her car as she drove to pick up twin daughters Aliannah “Ali’ and Aleeah, whom she shares with ex Corey Simms – from their first day of high school.

While speaking to a friend on the phone, Leah said she was hoping her daughters had a “boring” day and didn’t have anything too “juicy” to share. “I’m looking forward to finding out how their first day of high school went,” she added.

Once both Ali and Aleeah, 15, got into Leah’s car, Ali explained that she entered the school through the “main door.” However, she planned to go through the side door moving forward because she decided to park her wheelchair near the handicap accessible entrance.

As fans of the longtime MTV show know, Ali has a form of muscular dystrophy called titin muscular dystrophy. The condition causes progressive muscle weakness and degeneration, and Ali often uses a wheelchair when going long distances.

The clip continued with Aleeah explaining that she wanted to go back to the school to watch a football game, and Ali agreed that she also wanted to go. Leah then asked Ali if she would be able to get her wheelchair for the game, though the teenager insisted that she didn’t “need it for the out of school games.”

After Leah said that Ali had to use her wheelchair, Ali fired back, “I don’t need it, but if you think I need it, I’m not going.”

The trio arrived at the school and Leah pointed out that the building appeared to be open, so they could walk in and get the wheelchair. Leah then suggested that Ali go drive her chair to the field and park it in place, though Ali argued that she only wanted to watch the game if she could sit on the bleachers.

As Ali and Leah continued to disagree over using her wheelchair, Aleeah asked to be let out of the car because they were “stressing” her out. However, Ali said that Leah was “stressing [her] out” with everything she had to do with her wheelchair.

Once Aleeah was out of the car, Leah told Ali, “It doesn’t hurt you to use your wheelchair from the school and park it over there.”

“You’re not supposed to walk very long distances cause that’s how you tire out and then that’s how you fall and get hurt,” Leah said.

The conflict continued as Ali argued that she wouldn’t be walking as far of a distance as Leah was making it out to be.

Leah eventually gave in and decided to pull up as close as possible to the field to drop Ali off. While Ali argued that her mother was making the situation a bigger deal than it needed to be, Leah later vented her frustrations about Ali “not listening” to her or what her “doctor recommends.”

“You want to keep up with your friends. What if they want to walk around? I don’t want you to get hurt and I’m not there,” the mother of three – who also shares daughter Adalynn with ex Jeremy Calvert – continued.

Ali eventually got out of the car to go to the game, and Leah managed to hold back her tears. However, she began crying heavier as she drove away from her daughter.
