Teen Mom's Tyler Baltierra Slams Leaked Pics of Daughter Carly

Tyler Baltierra is not going to stand for this violation of privacy.

After photos of his and wife Catelynn Lowell’s daughter Carly—whom they placed in adoptive care in 2009—began circulating online, Tyler shared a message to fans who were promoting the leaked pictures.

“To say I’m disappointed is an understatement,” Tyler wrote in an April 5 Instagram Story, per US Weekly. “It’s literally heartbreaking and sad that people are still continuing to share pictures and now videos of Carly.”

The 33-year-old—who shares Nova, 10, Vaeda, 6, and Rya, 3, with Catelynn—went on to call out Teen Mom fans who have scrutinized the couple for being so open with Carly’s complicated adoption story.

“People and pages who brutalize me and Cate with daily cruelty/hate for just speaking about our adoption story publicly are now participating in sharing her actual picture and video publicly,” Tyler continued. “We haven’t shown her face in over 11 years because that’s what her parents wanted and now all of you are just doing it without a care in the world and it’s truly devastating.”

Indeed, Tyler and Catelynn have been open about the growing tension between Carly’s adoptive parents Teresa Davis and Brandon Davis—and themselves.

“I’m beyond heartbroken for Carly & her parents (if this is something they really didn’t want),” Tyler continued. “I know everyone will blame me and Cate for this, but just remember, we’re not the ones who have posted her. We’re not the ones who’ve leaked her photos or videos, you all have and that is the sad irony here.”

This isn’t the first time Tyler and Catelynn, both 33, have addressed how social media played a role in Carly’s now-closed adoption. During an episode of PodcastOne’s Cate & Ty: Break It Down earlier this month, Tyler and Catelynn claimed their relationship soured after they posted a photo of Carly from the back in 2023—which the Teen Mom stars said Carly’s adoptive parents had approved.

After Catelynn tried to argue that point to Carly’s adoptive parents, though, Catelynn alleged that Teresa had texted her back, “‘The way you speak about us isn't nice, so we're not going to be responding for a while.’”

Ever since, Catelynn and Tyler have had no contact with Carly. And for that reason, they’ve expressed that they will continue to be open with where they stand with her and her adoptive parents.

“If Carly has a chance to see that we never stopped trying, she deserves to know that," Catelynn explained during the podcast episode. “It's bringing awareness to everybody involved in the adoption.”
