What Alexe Godin's Concussion Means For Her Relationship With Grant Ellis On The Bachelor

Alexe Missed Out On Talking To Grant

When Grant returned to the women after his conversation with Carolina, he informed them that he wasn't going to be handing out the group date rose because he now had some thinking to do, so he decided not to. It was better for Alexe that she wasn't there for the drama, especially because she's become emotional about it in the past on the show. However, it was sad that she was injured during the date for her own sake.

Our Take On Alexe Godin's Concussion During The Bachelor Season 29

The Dates Aren't Conducive To Falling In Love

Alexe's concussion is yet another example of how The Bachelor puts the contestants into situations that are too physically demanding. During The Bachelor season 27, Genevie Mayo hurt her shoulder during a tackle football game and wound up in a sling, while The Bachelor season 28's Rachel Nance ended up in the hospital during the daytime portion of her Fantasy Suite date after nearly breaking her jaw after they jumped off of a ledge into water.

The Bachelor season 29's Grant Ellis gave Alexe Godin his first impression rose, which means that she also received his first one-on-one date.

These types of dates aren't conducive to falling in love, and they put the contestants at unnecessary risk. While riding a mechanical bull isn't the most dangerous thing a person can do, making it into a contest forced the women to have to get creative with how they did it. This led to Alexe putting herself in a precarious situation that resulted in a head injury. Not only did she get hurt, but she also lost valuable time with Grant. Thankfully, Alexe made a full recovery, but The Bachelor producers must do more to protect the contestants from harm.
