The Bachelorette Season 21 Could End In Total Heartbreak (Is Jenn Tran Single?)

The Bachelorette season 21’s Jenn Tran has been struggling to connect as the lead of the series, but could the season end in total heartbreak after some new insights have come to light? Jenn’s time as The Bachelorette hasn’t been easy, and the difficulties she’s faced on the show and due to Bachelor Nation have been tough to see. Originally a part of Joey Graziadei’s cast on The Bachelor season 28, Jenn caught Bachelor Nation’s eye during her first turn on the series. A bubbly, funny contestant, Jenn was easily one of the better options for the next season’s Bachelorette.

While Jenn may not have been the first choice for the role, she was ultimately named the lead of The Bachelorette season 21, joining in the footsteps of some iconic women who have found love on the series. Jenn, who was hopeful she’d be able to find someone to fit her lifestyle, was happy to be taking on the journey of a lifetime. As the first Asian-American Bachelorette, Jenn had some incredibly large shoes to fill and was looking to be able to represent her community on a major stage. Even with Bachelor Nation behind her, things haven’t been simple.

Jenn's Season Of The Bachelorette Has Been Disappointing

She Hasn’t Been Treated Well

Although Jenn was one of the most well-received Bachelorette choices in recent years, her season of The Bachelorette hasn’t been easy for viewers to watch. As the first Asian-American Bachelorettethere were some expectations surrounding Jenn and what she was looking for during her season. Hopeful she’d be able to share her culture and potentially meet someone who understood her on that level, Jenn was excited to meet her cast of men and get to know the guys selected for her. Unfortunately, Jenn’s cast of guys wasn’t all there for the right reasons and wasn’t as diverse as she hoped.

Throughout The Bachelorette season 21, Jenn has been struggling to make genuine connections and has been plagued with several villains as part of her season. The guys who were cast for Jenn weren’t all there for her, which was revealed late in the season when villain Sam McKinney shared he was looking for someone else. While the drama onscreen has been tough to watch, Jenn has also been dealing with backlash from Bachelor Nation, who feel that she wasn’t advocated for by production. While they’ve been complaining about her, they’ve also been unhappy with the Bachelor franchise for her treatment.

There Were Rumors Jenn Ended Up Engaged Before Her Season Began

She Accidentally Revealed As Much During Interviews

Early on in Jenn’s season, she was doing a lot of press about the series and sharing as much as she could about her journey without giving too much away. While Jenn was open about the experience in positive ways, she also shared some of the more negative aspects of her Bachelorette journey with the media. Explaining she was disappointed with the fact that there was only one man of Asian descent cast on her season of The Bachelorette, Jenn had no problem calling out the issues within the franchise. Even so, Jenn dropped a spoiler during her press tour.

During one of the early interviews Jenn did about her time as The Bacheloretteshe was sharing more about her life after the show. Explaining that she was happy, Jenn accidentally revealed one of the biggest possible spoilers of the season. She shared that she had a fiancee, but quickly was able to backtrack and make it seem like she wasn’t engaged at all. Though she managed to catch herself, Bachelor Nation took Jenn’s interview as confirmation that she was engaged after The Bachelorette season 21’s finale. Though it wasn’t confirmed elsewhere, Bachelor Nation ran with Jenn’s confirmation as fact.

Jenn's Recent Body Language Has Suggested Heartbreak

She May Not Be With Her Final Rose Recipient Anymore

Jenn’s behavior as The Bachelorette season 21 has been airing has been interesting to watch, especially as the backlash against her for being the lead of the series has grown. While Jenn’s time as the lead has been difficult from a viewer's perspective, many have been watching her in current interviews and during appearances to see if there are any clues to what’s been happening in her life after the show. According to some viewers, Jenn’s body language in more recent appearances, like on The Bachelorette: Men Tell All, alludes to some potentially serious changes in her current relationship status.

While Jenn was open and excited in her body language during the early weeks of The Bachelorette, she’s become more closed off as time has gone by. In her most recent appearance on the show’s Men Tell All special, Jenn was seen as far more closed off than usual. While watching the preview for the finale episode, Jenn’s body language read as closed, disinterested, and disheartened, which has led some to believe that her engagement to her final rose recipient could be over. Though the episode will reveal her fate, some viewers are expecting to hear that Jenn’s currently single.

Is Jenn's Season Of The Bachelorette One Of The Worst?

The Show Has Been A Struggle

Even though Jenn began the season with an exuberance and excitement that sold Bachelor Nation on watching her journey, things have changed tremendously throughout the season. With Jenn having been excited to show her journey off to the world, it’s clear that her time as The Bachelorette wasn’t necessarily the most pleasant, and took a toll on her as the lead. Jenn’s journey has been difficult for Bachelor Nation to watch, as they feel bad for her in a plethora of ways. Even so, Jenn’s been doing her best to keep her head held high amidst the chaotic negative narrative.

Now, with some convinced that Jenn will be sharing she’s single during The Bachelorette: After The Final Rose, it’s possible that Jenn’s season of The Bachelorette could be one of the worst in the show’s history. For Jenn, who’s been hopeful about finding love for years ahead of her time as the lead, it’s an exciting time for her to branch out regardless of her relationship status. Though her season of the series may have been one of the most troubling in recent years, Jenn’s time as The Bachelorette taught her some invaluable lessons about herself and her life ahead.

The Bachelorette season finale airs Tuesday, September 3 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
