The Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei’s Dad Makes Shocking Claim About First Meeting With Daisy Kent

The Bachelor season 28's Joey Graziadei's dad, Nick Graziadei, revealed that he didn't see the same spark between Joey and runner-up Daisy Kent when he first met her as he did with Joey and The Bachelorette season 20 star Charity Lawson. Joey got his Bachelor Nation start as Charity's runner-up. He fell in love with her and was ready to propose to her, but she chose to get engaged to Dotun Olubeko instead. Joey then continued his journey to find love on The Bachelor season 28. He got engaged to Kelsey Anderson at the end of the season, and they're still together.

"I was let down a little bit."

On the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Nick admitted that while Daisy and Kelsey are "both amazing women," and Joey choosing either of them would’ve been a "great decision," he didn't see as much of a connection between Joey and Daisy as he did with Joey and Charity. He explained that when he met Daisy, "the body language was just okay. Then Nick had his conversation with Daisy, and "I was let down a little bit because I was like, 'Okay hmm. Not what I saw with Charity.' Because when they sat down ... I saw it, I was like, 'These people really care for each other.'"

Nick Says Kelsey "Lights Up The Room"

It's interesting that Nick picked up on the fact that something was off between Joey and Daisy. Daisy had expressed concern earlier in the season that she wasn't feeling as strongly for Joey as she should be. Although she eventually told him that she was falling in love with him, it felt a bit forced at times, while Kelsey's love for Joey came naturally. In the end, Daisy self-eliminated from the season because she knew that Joey was going to choose Kelsey instead of her.

Joey and Kelsey had a very strong connection from the beginning of The Bachelor season 28. It was beautiful to watch their relationship grow. Kelsey was the only woman who told Joey, "I love you," during the season, and she was the only woman that he said those three little words to. It made their engagement all the more special because it really proved that Kelsey was the only woman for Joey. It's nice to see that someone who knows Joey best, his dad, noticed this as well. Joey has such a supportive family, who helped guide him through his entire journey, which resulted in him finding Kelsey. Joey and Kelsey were meant-to-be.
