Making a difference.
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, Bachelor Nation stars are getting into the thankfulness spirit online.
Recently, Nancy Hulkower from Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelor” posted a video on social media encouraging her followers and loved ones to do “just one thing” for someone in need.
She shared, “I’m not an influencer, but since I’ve been on ‘The Golden Bachelor’ I have a platform. And I realize, again I’m not an influencer, but I would love to influence doing just one thing [for someone]. It makes a difference for them; it will make a difference to you and your heart when you start doing just one thing every day or every week. And then I guarantee that person who you did just one thing for will then pay it forward and do just one thing for someone else.”
Now in honor of Thanksgiving this week, Nancy posted another video on Instagram with her fellow “Golden Bachelor” ladies, sharing about “one thing” they’re doing this holiday season to help others.
She said, “My ‘Golden Bachelor’ girlfriends weighed in and let me know what they like to do. Check it out.”
The video then transitions to Joan Vassos, who shares that one thing she always likes to do is to contribute to food collection baskets.
Sandra Mason revealed she likes to donate funds and paper goods, and Kathy Swarts chimed in that she likes to donate canned goods to her local food pantry.
Susan Noles stated that she likes to go the sweet route and share all her Christmas cookies with others. Peggy Dercole added that she likes to volunteer with community service.
The video continued, showing all of the Golden ladies as they share their “one thing” they do to help others such as fostering animals, donating clothes, packing food for those who are hungry, volunteering in food banks, and buying meals or items for others in need.
Nancy ended the video sharing her one thing, saying, “One thing I do is keep lots of protein bars in my car and give them out to people who are hungry.”
Nancy also left an encouraging message to her followers and wished everyone a happy Thanksgiving.
She expressed, “So from all of us to all of you, have a happy Thanksgiving and don’t forget, do just one thing.”
