On The Golden Bachelor season 1, Joan seemed sensitive and unique, reading a poem to show her talent. However, she may be attracted to Chock's cold, hard cash.

The Golden Bachelorette: Is Rich Guy Chock Chappie Really Joan's Prince Charming? (Money Isn't Everything) - SPOILERS

Chock's a great guy, but it's hard to ignore the signs of wealth. His net worth hasn't been revealed, but on Instagram, he's selling a luxury property and flaunting designer clothes, including a silky pink blazer and "rich guy" loafers without socks. He recently hung out with his son, Tyler Chappie, who's about to go and explore Japan. There are reports that Chock's a millionaire, but no proof, and if he is, he may not be the only suitor who's in that category. However, the fact that he's seemingly got his financial life together may be very appealing to Joan.

Does Joan Want More Financial Security In Her Golden Years?

Maybe Chock's Money Makes Her Feel Safe

Chock seems to live in the lap of luxury, as seen in the post above. He's all dressed up while hanging out with his son, who's preparing to move away. The room they're in is glam, with high-end leather chairs and chic subway tiles. The overall vibe could be described as Ralph Lauren affluence. Of course, Joan might want to step into this picture, living out a little Polo-style fantasy of her own. She may have her own money, but more money comes in handy, right? So, it's not impossible that she's intrigued by Chock's lifestyle.

He isn't just a seemingly rich guy. He's a father, a friend and a man who has his own chicken noodle soup recipe. As per his Instagram, Chock calls it "Chock A Doodle Soup." It's probably pretty good since he's so proud of it. Just for fun, here's the recipe:

4 tbsp butter

1 small onion - diced

4 stalks celery - diced

3 carrots - diced

4 cloves garlic - minced

1 quart Chicken Stock

1 quart Vegetable Stock

1 Jalapeño Pepper optional- diced small

1 tsp fresh thyme - chopped

2 1/2 pounds diced chicken

8 oz egg noodles

Heat butter in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté all veggies until tender.

Add chicken broth, vegetable broth & egg noodles.

Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.

Add chicken, season with salt if necessary.

Add more veggie broth if desired - just depends on how soupy you want it.

Nonetheless, Joan could be looking ahead, trying to figure out which suitor is offering her the highest standard of living. If she has a choice between Chock and a poorer suitor, she might choose insurance industry maven Chock because he appears to be wealthy. It's her life, and there's nothing wrong with that. There's a saying that it's as easy to fall in love with a rich man as a poor one - however, when a man is loaded, he'll always need to question why a woman is with him.

According to updated spoilers from Reality Steve, Chock does win Joan's heart this season. Reality Steve's been wrong before, but more often than not, his insights are right on the money. Maybe Joan's truly in love. Chock's a Virgo, and she's a Capricorn - that's an amazing combination that often leads to marriage. Both Earth signs have similar traits, including perfectionist streaks, humility, and a desire for security. Even if she is interested in his money, she may love other things about him too.

Chock may be more caring, and less of a clout chaser, than Gerry Turner. He let Joan down and other women, including Theresa Nist, were disappointed by him too. So, maybe Chock really is the right man for Joan - the anti-Gerry, as it were. Love's always a gamble on The Golden Bachelorette.

If Chock does have a ton of cash, he's definitely an eligible bachelor. It's a material world and Joan may be a "material girl." In Madonna's song, Material Girl, she proudly shares her love of money and the good things it can buy. She is shameless. However, in the reality TV milieu, gold diggers often prefer to cloak their greed. They pretend to be in love because they're chasing money. While Joan seems like an unlikely gold digger, one never knows. Hopefully, she's taking an interest in The Golden Bachelorette star Chuck for the right reason
