The legend Mike Tyson would never have beaten: “He’s very special. The best. I can’t beat that man, no way”

Legendary boxer Mike Tyson has revealed the one fighter he thinks he could never have beaten.

At the height of his powers, ‘Iron Mike’ was the most formidable foe on the planet. Still the youngest ever Heavyweight Champion, Tyson saw off every single opponent that came his way, etching his name into fighting history with every round. He went unbeaten for 37 fights winning his first 19 by knockout, dominating the sport across the world.

'There is no man like him, there just isn’t'

The 58-year-old spoke to ThisIs50, where he admitted that the one boxer he would never have liked to face was Muhammad Ali.

There is no man like him, there just isn’t”, Tyson said of ‘The Greatest Ever’. “Everything we have he supersedes us in. He was an animal, he looked more like a model than a boxer.

‘I can’t beat that man, hell no'

“He’s like a Tyrannosaurus Rex with a pretty face, he’s just mean and evil, he’ll take you to deep waters and drown you. He’s very special. The best. Nobody beats Ali. I can’t beat that man, hell no. No way.”

Born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr., Ali was the undisputed champion from 1974 to 1978, the only fighter to ever be World Heavyweight Champion three times; he successfully defended his title a total of 19 times.

He is considered by many to be not just the greatest boxer of all time, but the greatest sportsperson in human history.

Unfortunately for fans, the two never crossed paths in the ring, and it seems that for Tyson, it was a good thing.
