‘The Valley’ Fans Speculate After Kristen Doute’s Baby Shower

Kristen Doute’s first baby shower is in the books.

In March 2025, the expectant “The Valley” star celebrated the impending arrival of her first child with family and friends in her hometown in Michigan. The celebration took place a little more than two months before Doute’s due date and was held at the Bentley Banquet & Conference Center in Wyandotte, Michigan.

In photos posted to Instagram, Doute’s baby shower was revealed to be wildflower-themed. Decorative cutouts announced, “A little wildflower is on her way.”

Other photos showed a cupcake bouquet of treats shaped into a floral arrangement, a flower cookie display, and flower-themed favors. The flowery shower theme prompted buzz from fans who wondered if it offered a clue to Doute’s baby’s name.

Fans Speculated About Kristen Doute’s Baby Shower Theme

Doute and her fiancé Luke Broderick announced the pregnancy in November 2024. Weeks later, Doute shared the baby’s gender reveal news with fans. “Luke and I are so thrilled to be having a little girl, which honestly was unexpected because I was convinced we were having a boy!” she told People magazine at the time. “We are so excited for this next chapter in our lives together and to soon welcome our baby girl next summer.”

Some fans wondered if the flower theme could have something to do with the baby’s name.

In a Reddit thread, one fan speculated, “Guessing Kristen’s daughter will be named after a wildflower!’

Other fans agreed and began to throw out name guesses that included Aster, Primrose, Poppy, Dandelion, Lily, Daisy, Violet, and Mariposa/Posey.

“And we will call her Lily of the Valley,” one fan cracked of the possibility of the name Lily.

Another fan wondered, “Is wildflowers the theme because of the Tom Petty song? I know she’s referenced lyrics from that song for her t-shirt line and such. 🤷‍♀️.”

Doute is a big Tom Petty fan. As seen in photos posted by BravoTV.com, she has a forearm tattoo that says “Learning to Fly,” which is the title of one of the late singer-songwriter’s biggest songs. Interestingly, Doute also has an outline of a butterfly that she tagged “Baby mariposa.”

Other Reddit users felt the shower theme was just a theme and had nothing to do with the baby’s name. Several pointed to Doute’s love for Fleetwood Mac frontwoman Stevie Nicks and predicted the baby will be given the name Rhiannon or  Stevie.

In early 2025, Doute told Parade that her daughter’s “first concert was Stevie Nicks at Jimmy Kimmel Live!.” “That’s so cool, even though she’s in my belly,” she said.

Kristen Doute Is Keeping Her Baby’s Name a Secret

Doute may not not told anyone the name she has picked out for her baby—not even her closest family members or friends from back home.

During a March 2025 appearance on the “MisSPELLING” podcast, Doute revealed that she had her baby’s name picked out before she was pregnant. “Before I even got pregnant, we knew her name,” she said of her and her fiancé. “We didn’t have a boy name, but we had her name.”

She also made it clear that she wasn’t telling anyone the name until her baby’s birth.

“I now know why people don’t tell people [baby] names, because I did that,” the former “Vanderpump Rules” star said.  “When we were toying with boy names, I trusted a few of my best friends. Like, ‘These are a few of the [names] we picked out.’ My girlfriend Rachel — I’ll call her out — she was like, ‘What’s the name for the boy?… He sounds like an [expletive].’ And I’m like, and this is why people don’t tell people names.”
