‘The Valley’ Season 3 Cast Shake-Up: Scheana Gets Promoted as Lala Remains in Limbo

Scheana Shay Lands Spot on 'The Valley' Season 3, But Lala...

A major casting shake-up is reportedly underway as “The Valley” preps for season 3. With Jax Taylor no longer in the picture and fans hungry for fresh drama—can we please never hear about Danny Darko ever again—Bravo is rumored to be adding familiar faces from the “Vanderpump Rules” in larger roles. Scheana Shay has been teasing a return to Bravo for months, and sources say she’s now locked in for a full-time role. Meanwhile, Lala Kent may be hinting at a bigger presence on the show — but don’t get your hopes up just yet. Here’s everything we’ve heard about “The Valley” season 3 cast.

Scheana Shay to Fill Jax Taylor Void as Show Explores Her Marriage Drama

According to The U.S. Sun, producers have officially signed Shay to return as a full-time cast member on season 3. Although she’s currently billed as a “friend” on the show, Shay is expected to play a much larger role as the series dives into the fallout from husband Brock Davies’ cheating scandal — a bombshell she first revealed in her memoir “My Good Side.”

“She is going to be in a larger role, and the show will explore the aftermath of her affair becoming public and other struggles within her marriage to Brock,” an insider shared. “It helps that she is already genuinely good friends with all of them and fits in naturally with the group … Producers feel it will be good to have another “Vanderpump Rules” bridge after Jax left.”

The insider added, “It just makes sense. [Filming is] getting ready to roll right now.”

Executive producer Alex Baskin also hinted at Shay’s expanded role during a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“We’re making our plans for next season,” he said. “I wouldn’t say we were trying to set the stage to do anything in particular, but again, Scheana is really friends with that entire group.”

Lala Kent Hints at a Return for ‘The Valley’ Season 3, but Bravo Insiders Say Don’t Expect More

While Shay’s return appears to be locked in, Kent’s involvement is still uncertain. During an Amazon Live stream, Kent was asked whether she’d be featured more in the upcoming season.

“I wish I could say more, but like I can’t,” she teased, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “Who knows? … I know, but like do you guys know?” She also hinted that her schedule is “starting to get chaotic.”

Despite the playful tease, a July 23 tip sent to Bravo and Cocktails claimed Kent would not have a larger role in season 3. Instead, Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick, Danny Booko and Nia Sanchez, Jason and Janet Caperna, Brittany Cartwright, Jesse Lally, Michelle Saniei, Jasmine Goode, and Zack Wickham are all returning full-time. A new couple is also expected to join the cast.

As for “Vanderpump Rules” alums, producers are reportedly taking viewer feedback seriously following Taylor’s “exit.” That means no Tom Schwartz and no expanded role for Kent — at least for now. But when it comes to Shay, it’s becoming clear Bravo isn’t done with her just yet.
