This Golden Bachelorette Contestant Threatens To Leave As Joan Vassos' Confidence Is Shattered (SPOILERS)

During the next episode of The Golden Bachelorette, suitor Chock Chapple will reveal he's going to leave the show, potentially sending Joan Vassos' season into total chaos. The Golden Bachelorette season 1 was greenlit after the huge success ABC saw with The Golden Bachelor. Joan quit the Gerry Turner-led spin-off to be with her daughter, who was going through postpartum issues. Joan has sent home 13 men so far on The Golden Bachelorette, with 11 suitors remaining.

The Golden Bachelorette's Joan Vassos smiles next to a mystery figure.

Chock Chapple gets real about his future on The Golden Bachelorette , leading to Joan Vassos feeling " less confident now. "

Bachelor Nation recently released a preview for the next episode of The Golden Bachelorette, which shows Joan continuing to build strong bonds with the remaining men in the competition. The one-minute teaser kicks off with the men taking part in a Chippendales-themed date, which shocks Joan. Then the video shows a montage of Joan spending time with various men, and some of them claiming they can see a future with her. Joan is starting to feel hope in her life again.

However, the end of the teaser takes a serious turn as Chock gets real about his future on The Golden Bachelorette. "This is a fear of mine. I don't know if I can do this," he explains. While speaking with the other men, Chock announces, "I just want you to know I'm going to leave." The video then cuts to Chock opening up to Joan by admitting, "I appreciate you more than you'll ever know." During a confessional, Joan cries while telling the camera, "I feel less confident now...Could I leave here alone? I don't know what I'm doing."

What Chock Chapple’s Possible Exit Means For The Golden Bachelorette

Joan & Chock's Chemistry Has Been Undeniable

On The Golden Bachelorette, Chock earned the distinction the first solo date of the season with Joan. It may not be the first impression rose, but it still laid the groundwork for the two of them to build a meaningful bond across the entirety of The Golden Bachelorette season 1. Joan's late husband died from pancreatic cancer three years ago. Similarly, Chock's late fiancée died of brain cancer two years ago. They have experienced immense tragedies, with both being touched by cancer.

Joan and Chock's chemistry has been on full display throughout The Golden Bachelorette. Of course, there's the personal tragedies they've faced, which means they can relate to each other in a way that not everyone can, but it's also their personalities that mesh really well together. There's a strong chance the preview for the next episode is purposefully misleading, and maybe Chock doesn't actually leave The Golden Bachelorette.

Our Take On Chock Chapple Saying He’s Leaving The Golden Bachelorette

Chock Should Stay & Build Upon His Relationship With Joan

If Chock leaves, it would be a devastating blow to the bond he and Joan have already built. Both of these two reality TV stars deserve to find someone they can spend the rest of their lives together with. Whether that's with each other or with someone else remains to be seen. For Joan's sake, though, her journey wouldn't be the same if Chock quits. He should stick around and continue building upon the relationship they've already developed and see if their bond has what it takes to stay together in a committed relationship after The Golden Bachelorette ends.
