The Las Vegas Raiders have been devoid of quarterback talent for over two seasons since Derek Carr parted ways with the franchise at the end of the 2022 season. While Carr was not an elite quarterback by any means, his solid play allowed the Raiders to stay competitive in most of his games over the near decade he was with the organization.
In the two years since his departure, the team has employed Jimmy Garoppolo, Brian Hoyer, Aidan O'Connell, Gardner Minshew and Desmond Ridder as the team's quarterback. However, Nick Shook of NFL.com recently predicted that the team could add legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason with the help of their new minority owner Tom Brady.

Rodgers has been with the New York Jets for the last two seasons but new head coach Aaron Glenn made it clear to the veteran quarterback that he was not a part of the franchise's future plans. That could leave the door open for another team to land the four-time MVP, and the Raiders could have a unique case for him.
"This pairing actually makes sense for a few reasons," wrote Shook. "Tom Brady's minority ownership seems to carry a ton of influence over the organization, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he pushed the Raiders to pursue a fellow legend who, like Brady, needed a new home to finish out his career."
The only difference between Brady's and Rodgers' careers is that Brady went straight from the Patriots to the Buccaneers and won a Super Bowl, but Rodgers did not have the same luck moving from the Packers to the Jets. This would be Rodgers' second try at finding a new home to finish out his career, and while he would certainly be the best Raiders quarterback in recent memory, it would not help them build for the future if the price is too high.
