Tom Schwartz is ready to adopt a new lifestyle, and it requires him to make some adjustments to his diet.

How to Watch

During an episode of the Vanderpump Rules After Show (which dropped when Season 11 aired earlier this year), Schwartz revealed his decision to start excluding meat from his meals. This revelation came as Schwartz reflected on the eating competition he participated in with Tom Sandoval, James Kennedy, and Brock Davies during their visit to a Brazilian steakhouse, shown in Season 11, Episode 7 of Vanderpump Rules.

“I’m a transitioning vegetarian,” Schwartz said in the video above, prompting Jax Taylor to respond, “What?” Sandoval also found his best friend's announcement bizarre, saying, “No, he’s not.”

Schwartz explained to his friends that his sudden change in eating habits came from self-reflection. “I think I had a moral epiphany... I just hit the wall, man,” he said. “I felt like a f-cking savage just eating slabs of meat, and they just keep coming over.”

The Schwartz & Sandy’s co-owner went on to describe the restaurant’s all-you-can-eat experience as “barbaric,” though he admitted to not regretting it since “it was cool.” Sandoval echoed similar sentiments, saying the meal was great, but revealed that he ended the night with “pretty bad” meat sweats.

(As of press time, it's unclear where Schwartz stands in his decision today.)

Tom Schwartz shows off his workout equipment in his apartment

Although Schwartz’s vegetarian journey is still in its early stages, he is no stranger to living an active lifestyle. When giving a tour of his “transitional bachelor pad” earlier in the year, Schwartz showed how he turned his bedroom into his own personal sanctuary — complete with workout equipment.

His cozy bedroom featured a treadmill beside his bed, barely leaving any space to navigate around it. Schwartz opened up about how the exercise tool holds many memories, and even though it doesn't work, he refuses to get rid of it. "My god, this has got me through a lot of rough moments in life," he explained. "Technician needs to come out and fix that."

That isn't the only workout machine in Schwartz's apartment. Just outside his bedroom in the living room is his Tonal gym set up. “This is my home gym. I love Tonal. My baby,” he said.
