Tom Schwartz still gets emotional when he thinks about the home he once shared with ex-wife Katie Maloney.
The now-exes purchased a home in Valley Village back in 2019, the same year that they got legally married, and they sold it amid their separation in 2022.
Though Tom now lives in North Hollywood, he does still drive by his old digs from time to time.
"I was coming back from Tom Tom, because I'm trying to get brunch popping, the other day, and Donna texted me on the way home (Donna's the owner, she bought our home)," Tom said on the debut episode of his podcast, Detox Retox with Tom Schwartz, which featured Katie as a guest. "My mail still goes there. I don't know, it's just two things from two banks, and honestly, I just tell her to throw it out every time."
He continued, "But, sometimes when I drive by the house, I don't get sad, but — and this is not a cry for help — I sometimes will shed a tear. It's not a sad tear, it's not a happy tear, but it's just kind of a nostalgic tear. I'm just like, 'I miss that crib!'"
Tom assured Katie (and his listeners) that he wasn't driving by to torture himself, but he likes to pay tribute to the memories when he's in the area.
"It's not something masochistic, I don't go out of my way to [go]," he said before joking, "I sit across the street and I play the Vanderpump Rules theme song."
Katie said that though the house has good memories for her, she doesn't feel the same way. In fact, because the current homeowner has done a lot of work on the house, Katie doesn't even see it as the same home.

As Tom said on his podcast, the former couple sold their four bedroom, five bathroom home at the right time.
"We crushed it on selling our house," he said to Katie on the April 21 episode. "We bought it at the perfect time in 2019, and we sold at a great time, too. I'm not gonna say how much we made... but sh-t, man."

After the house first sold in 2022, Tom moved into an apartment in West Hollywood. He referred to the space as a "transitional bachelor pad," and he upgraded his space again in 2024.
Tom now lives in a townhouse in the same building as The Valley's Jax Taylor in North Hollywood.

On the April 14 episode of the Humble Brag with Crystal and Cynthia podcast, Katie shared that she's on good terms with her now-ex today.
"We're cool," she said. "But like, we don't get lunch."
The two largely communicate about their dogs, Gordo and Butters. "We still have the dogs, and they primarily live with him," she said on the podcast.
"I love those guys so much that like, I can't never see them," she continued. "So we mostly talk about the dogs and...it was really intense."
