Tom Schwartz Working With Sandoval Again for ‘One Night Only’

Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval’s friendship has survived plenty: business challenges, public backlash, and one of reality TV’s most explosive cheating scandals. When news of Sandoval’s affair with Vanderpump Rules co-star Rachel Leviss broke in 2023, it didn’t just end his long-term relationship with Ariana Madix—it also sent shockwaves through his friendship with Schwartz.

Combined with the financial fallout from their now-closed lounge, Schwartz & Sandy’s, the scandal left the once-tight duo on shaky ground. But now, the longtime friends seem to be reconnecting – at least temporarily – with a joint appearance during Sandoval’s concert tour.

But despite all the drama, the Toms are reuniting—at least for one night. On June 19, Sandoval announced that Schwartz would make a special appearance during the opening night of his band’s Midwest tour.

In an Instagram Story, he teased the crowd: “What’s up, everyone? It’s Tom Sandoval. I’m so excited because me and The Most Extras are coming to St. Charles, Illinois, this Friday.”

He then dropped the surprise: “And guess what? I have a special guest coming with me … There he is! Tom Schwartz!”

Schwartz popped into the frame wearing sunglasses and a cap, adding, “That’s right. Coming out of retirement for one night only.”

“Me too,” Sandoval joked. “We’ll see you there!”

The reunion took place at the Friday, June 20 show at the Arcada Theatre in Illinois and included a meet-and-greet with both Toms.

Schwartz – who’s in the process of building a home in Florida – last showed support for the band in March, when he made a surprise appearance at a concert in Minnesota.

That move signaled that the two were working to mend their fractured friendship. On The Valley After Show, Schwartz admitted their bar’s financial issues “almost destroyed” their bond. “The financial aspect really put our relationship to the test,” he said. “But I have closure …He’s family for me. I’ll always love Tom Sandoval.”

More recently, Schwartz shared on Watch What Happens Live, “I was very resentful for a long time, but I’ve let that go, and I feel like we’re in a good place again.”

Tom and Tom’s friendship might not be back to the level of riding off into the sunset together on a motorcycle and sidecar in matching outfits, but it seems to have endured mostly unscathed.
