Toronto Maple Leafs Finalize Trade with the Minnesota Wild After 3:00 PM Deadline Limit

The Toronto Maple Leafs struck a late trade to bolster their offense in adding forward depth.

The Leafs have acquired forward Reese Johnson from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Future Considerations.

Johnson, 26, has appeared in three games this season for the Wild, and has played primarily in the AHL for the Wild's affiliate, Iowa.

Johnson, who is signed to a one-year, two-way deal, will likely be assigned to the AHL with the Toronto Marlies in order to help replace the losses of Fraser Minten & Nikita Grebenkin to Boston and Philadelphia respectively.
