After an impressive 5-0 start to the season, Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are taking time to relax during their Week 6 bye.
Fresh off a Monday Night Football victory over the New Orleans Saints, both players shared glimpses of how they plan to spend their downtime, reflecting coach Andy Reid's decision to give the team some well-earned rest.
Mahomes, the Chiefs' standout quarterback, was candid about his plans, expressing excitement about family time.
"I'll be spending most of my time running around with the kids," he said after the win, smiling as he acknowledged that his week off wouldn't involve much relaxation.
His comments suggest Reid is allowing his players to recharge in their own ways as they prepare for the rest of the season.
Kelce keeps his plans under wraps amid Swift speculation
Unlike Mahomes, Travis Kelce was more secretive about his bye week activities. Appearing on his New Heights podcast with his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, Travis confirmed that he has plans but refused to share any details.
"Are you gonna tell anybody?" Jason asked.
"No, but if any of it comes out, I'm sure we'll be talking about it on the show," Travis replied.
Fans have been buzzing about Kelce's rumored relationship with music superstar Taylor Swift, who was reportedly seen with him on a plane heading to the East Coast earlier this week.
Swift had missed Kelce's previous two road games but made a return to Arrowhead Stadium to support him during the Chiefs' latest victory. As Swift prepares to resume her Eras Tour in Miami later this month, speculation continues about how the pair will spend their time together.
While Kelce remains tight-lipped about his personal life, Mahomes has been more visible, attending a Kansas City Royals playoff game earlier this week. As the Chiefs enjoy their time off, they'll return to action in Week 7, traveling to face the San Francisco 49ers.
