Travis Kelce Has Changed His Opinion On Chiefs' Super Bowl Loss

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs didn't just lose Super Bowl LIX to the Philadelphia Eagles, they were dismantled from start to finish. It was the type of loss that should motivate every player in Andy Reid's locker room.

After the Chiefs lost Super Bowl LIX, some fans assumed Kelce would retire. However, the All-Pro tight end said he wanted to come back and redeem himself. Let's just say he wasn't pleased with his performance against the Eagles.

Travis Kelce Has Changed His Opinion On Chiefs' Super Bowl Loss

"I think the biggest thing is that I love playing the game of football," Kelce said. "I love playing. I still feel like I can play it at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year. I don't think it was my best outing. I think I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I've been in years past. I want to give it a good run. I got a bad taste in my mouth in how I ended last year and how well I was playing and how accountable I was to the people around me."

Well, it didn't take long for Kelce to get that bad taste out of his mount. While at training camp this Wednesday, he admit that he has already moved on from the team's Super Bowl loss.

"I've thrown that thing in the trash," Kelce told ESPN. "I've moved on. It happened sooner than you can imagine. I was pretty focused on this year in the offseason."

If we're being honest, it's probably best that Kelce doesn't have revenge on his mind coming into the season. He can simply focus on his preparation for Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

And if anyone is worried about Kelce potentially slacking off, just know that he impressed Kansas City's coaching staff with his conditioning in July.

"He looks like he's 20," Reid said at the start of training camp. "He's doing a good job and he's in great shape. I'm not sure he didn't come in first on the whole conditioning thing. He was right up front. You can see he's been working out. He's worked hard to get to this spot."
