Travis Kelce Reveals Truth on Why He Wants a Pet Penguin

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is gearing up for his 13th NFL season. He finished the 2024 campaign tallying 823 receiving yards and three touchdowns, the lowest of his NFL career since his rookie season, when he played just one game.

After the Chiefs failed in their bid to complete a Super Bowl three-peat — losing in the title game against the Philadelphia Eagles — Kelce is undoubtedly more motivated than ever to get back on the field and help lead Kansas City.

In fact, Kelce recently admitted while speaking on the "Bussin' With the Boys" podcast that he wants to play his heart out in the last year of his current contract with the Chiefs.

Amid his preparations for a new NFL season, though, Travis Kelce is not forgetting to enjoy the offseason and his break from football.

Aside from going on dates with his pop star girlfriend, Taylor Swift, the Chiefs tight end has been attending various social events over the past few months, one of which was the Amazon MGM Studios 2025 Upfront last May.

Now, in a new video from Amazon that was taken from the aforementioned event, Kelce was asked about the last movie or show that he has watched that he's still thinking about. Interestingly, the 35-year-old NFL star answered "The Penguin Lessons."

Even better, Kelce had a rather funny admission about the movie.

"I've wanted a penguin ever since, man," Kelce stated.

For those not familiar with the flick, "The Penguin Lessons" is a 2024 movie about a "disillusioned Englishman who goes to work in a school in a divided Argentina in 1976" and "finds his life transformed when he rescues an orphaned penguin from the beach," per IMDb.

The film has also gotten pretty good reviews, with New York Times calling it "largely winsome and inoffensive" and The Hollywood Reporter describing it as "unexpectedly moving."
