Jake Paul is beginning to receive plaudits for his involvement in boxing, despite being one of the most controversial figures in the sport.

This past Saturday, Jake Paul returned to the boxing ring for the first time since his controversial win over Mike Tyson last November, when he took on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in Anaheim, California.

The 28-year-old continued to divide the boxing fanbase after picking up another dominant unanimous decision victory, which resulted in loud boos from the crowd.

Following his win, ‘The Problem Child’ took one step closer to his final goal of becoming a world champion as he is now ranked inside the top 15 of the WBA cruiserweight world rankings.

Immediately after his fight, the 28-year-old called out several champions, including Zurdo Ramirez, Badou Jack, Gervonta Davis and Anthony Joshua.

Not only that, but ‘The Problem Child’ went on to claim that a fight against Joshua is very likely to happen and could take place in 2026 after some talks.

Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn explained his stance on the fight, shockingly admitting that he and his team will explore the possibility of the fight, despite it being a ‘catastrophic mismatch’.

Not only that but Hearn gave Paul some surprise credit, admitting that the 28-year-old has improved significantly and should be given more respect by the entire boxing world.

And with a potential fight against Joshua on the horizon, former heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has also provided his shock verdict on that potential clash.

“I think that’s a good fight, I think that is a real 50/50 fight,” Fury shockingly claimed during a recent media scrum.

Although ‘The Gypsy King’ and Joshua have somewhat of an ongoing feud, the two have never stepped into the ring to fight each other, and they seemingly won’t.

Despite his recent retirement, Fury has admitted that the only fight he will come out of retirement for is a trilogy fight against Oleksandr Usyk, stating that it would have to take place in the UK.

Jake Paul called out by world famous heavyweight

Even though ‘The Problem Child’ has been involved in some fights that would likely be labeled as ‘freak show’ by some critics, he is seemingly turning the corner in his career.

However, he has now been called out by world famous heavyweight, Butterbean, who is looking to return to the boxing ring after several health scares.
