Tonight’s UFC fights kicked off with a Mike Tyson impression.

The premier promotion returns to the crowdless UFC Apex after a trip to Abu Dhabi last weekend.

UFC Vegas 108 is headlined by the 16-1 Tatsuro Taira and the undefeated Hyun Sung Park in a rare flyweight main event.

The card began in the women’s strawweight division between Piera Rodriguez and Ketlen Souza, with the UFC commentators cracking a joke about the great Mike Tyson mid-fight.

In the second round of their fight, Rodriguez had control of Souza on the ground.

On top, Rodriguez punched Souza’s back a few times and the referee gave her a warning about hitting her opponent’s spine, which is illegal.

“Watch the spine!” the referee said twice.

“Spinal,” UFC commentator Dominick Cruz said after the warning, doing an impression of Mike Tyson’s famous interview where the superstar said he broke his back, claiming his injury was ‘spinal’.

“Spinal,” fellow commentator Michael Bisping repeated.

Rodriguez defeated Souza via split decision after going three rounds.

Mike Tyson’s ‘spinal’ quote came after final pro boxing win

Two decades before he boxed Jake Paul on Netflix, ‘Iron’ Mike picked up his last win in the ring in Feb. 2003.

Tyson made quick work of Clifford Etienne, TKO’ing him in 49 seconds for what would be his 50th and final pro win. Despite the victory, Tyson wasn’t in the best shape.

Post-fight, Tyson delivered one of the most iconic interviews in combat sports.

“I broke my back,” Tyson said.

“My back is broken,” Tyson added.

“Spinal!”
