‘Vanderpump Rules’ Alum Shares Health Update After Doctors Spot Alarming Mass

“Vanderpump Rules” alum Lala Kent is dealing with a scary health issue. The Bravo star took to Instagram earlier this week and shared a health update about an alarming mass doctors spotted in her eye.

Kent, 34, revealed that she originally went to an eye doctor after she noticed discoloration in one of her eyes. She was told it seemed to be just an inflamed pinguecula and was prescribed eye drops.

However, the reality star felt like something was not right. She noted that the drops the doctor gave her weren’t working. That’s when she decided to seek a second opinion.

Lala Kent Has Pre-Cancer Spot On Her Eye

Kent, who first noticed the discoloration on her sclera two months ago, went to a different doctor for another eye check-up. Her concerns were confirmed when she was told that it wasn’t just inflammation but something more serious.

She explained:

I went to a doctor’s appointment today — to a doctor that came very highly recommended — and he looked at it and said, ‘I do not think it is [an inflamed pinguecula] at all. I actually want to biopsy it because, to me, it looks like it could be pre-cancer.’ So, they’re trying to expedite surgery to remove it and see what it actually is.

Kent added that the doctors planned to numb her eye to remove the mass for a biopsy. The reality star admitted she’s “kind of freaking out a little,'” but remains optimistic.

‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star To Start Chemo Treatment

On Wednesday, Kent shared another update on her Instagram Stories and confirmed that the mass is indeed pre-cancerous. The “Vanderpump Rules” alum said her doctor plans to begin treatment with chemotherapy eye drops, which she’ll use for three months.

At that point in time God willing, it kills all of the cancer cells. If it doesn’t, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. And talk about surgery.

Kent recalled supporting friends through their own health scares over the years but said being in that position herself now brings a whole new level of concern.

Then, when you’re placed in this situation, all you can do is just sit here and stress and think about every possible horrendous situation, and all of the advice that you give to people completely goes out the window. So, I’m trying to stay positive.

Kent was a recurring cast member of “Vanderpump Rules” Season 4. She is not expected to return to the show as it will be entirely recast for Season 12.
