‘Vanderpump Rules’ Season 12 Confirmed With All-New Cast

Vanderpump Rules Season 12 has officially been confirmed but with a twist that some speculated was coming. It will feature an all-new cast alongside Lisa Vanderpump but what does that mean for the OG stars of the hit Bravo series? Keep reading for further details on the rebranded show.

Vanderpump Rules Season 12 Confirmed With A Twist

At Bravo Fan Fest 2024, a guest asked Andy Cohen what the status of Vanderpump Rules was. After Season 11 ended, the show was put on an indefinite hiatus. The alleged goal was for everyone to move away from ‘Scandoval,’ let the series breathe, and then return with new and more organic drama. Usually, the reality series films all summer and then airs in the winter. That was not the case so the stars have been traveling and living their lives. Ariana Madix has been performing and hosting while Katie Maloney is in a controversial new relationship.

Lala Kent had her second baby while Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz announced the closing of Schwartz & Sandy’s. James Kennedy has been consistent with his DJ gigs and most friendships are in the gutter. Yet, viewers held out hope that the show would soon return. Well, it is but with a twist. There will be an all-new cast of characters alongside the show’s namesake, Lisa Vanderpump. It was speculated this would happen as the OG cast no longer has any affiliation with SUR. Therefore, it made sense to return to the show’s roots.

According to Us Weekly, Season 12 of Vanderpump Rules will begin filming in 2025. However, the premiere date and the new cast members have not been announced. Per Bravo, it will be LVP and a new group of “close-knit SUR-vers who are as complicatedly involved with one another as their iconic predecessors.” Executive producer, Alex Baskin is thrilled about what is to come with the new season ahead:

“What a thrill it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it all over again. With profound appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, we can’t wait for the audience to see a dynamic new group of co-workers and friends make their way through life together.”

What About The OGs?

As of now, it appears that the OG cast of Vanderpump Rules will be out of a job. Now, Lala Kent and Scheana Shay will appear in Season 2 of The Valley while Jax Taylor is in treatment. Scheana has expressed her desire to migrate over there but Jax does not care for that in any capacity. Lisa Vanderpump expressed her praise for the OG cast in a statement:

“The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between. I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules.”
