'Vanderpump Rules' Star Issues Bold Statement on Alleged Romance with Castmate

The 'Vanderpump Rules' alum took to TikTok on Wednesday, July 2 to address internet rumors she's dating her longtime friend and castmate.

Lala Kent is denying rumors she's dating Vanderpump Rules co-star Tom Schwartz.

In a TikTok posted Wednesday, July 2, Kent denied internet rumors that she was spotted out on dates with Schwartz, who was previously married to fellow Vanderpump Rules castmate Katie Maloney from 2016 to 2022.

"So I was told where this rumor came from about me and Tom Schwartz dating, and it stems from some girl in a comment section saying, 'Lala and Tom are dating. I know this to be true because they're always at this bistro that I work at and he's always [picking up] the bill." Kent said.

"My question is, number one, bistro? 
Highlight, underline, question mark. Bistro? Like a restaurant, yes. 
Even a coffee shop I would get," she continued. But like bistro? How random. I literally had to Google, 'What is a bistro?' Because I was like, this is like, so specific. 
And like, are there a lot of bistros in L.A. that I don't know about?"

She ended the video saying, "But I think it's safe to say you guys, with just that one comment and y'all taking it and running and thinking you solved something, I mean, you certainly would not be solving my murder. 
I mean, I'm a little let down."

Kent and Schwartz also went on the Monday, June 30, episode of PodcastOne’s Detox Retoxpodcast to poke fun at the dating rumors circulating online.

"What the f*** is going on?" Kent asked after reading a story that claimed she was living with Schwartz. "They chose a photo of me pregnant so it looks like I’m also carrying your baby. I'm sweating."

While Schwartz joked that it was a "hard launch" he couldn’t believe how many friends reached out to ask if it was true.

"I wake up today and the first thing I see from my dear friend is a text. 'Hit me up! What’s up with you and Lala?'" Schwartz recalled. "And then I got another text from somebody else."

Despite the pair’s long-standing friendship, Kent made it clear that she hasn’t thought about dating Schwartz, or anyone else for that matter, in a long time.

"I haven't thought about men in a romantic way in a very long time. Is that sad?" she said. "I feel like it will come one day when it’s supposed to."
