Vicki Gunvalson reacted to the news that Sonja Morgan was banned from a restaurant in New York City, as the restaurant owner revealed more details behind the story. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum also seemingly hinted at why she wasn’t asked to film in the new season.

Last week, reports surfaced that Sonja caused a scene at a New York City restaurant and was ‘blacklisted’ from the eatery. And then, days later, she was photographed leaving a restaurant in an ambulance while in Florida. Cops were called, though many details surrounding the incident were unknown.

“She shouldn’t go out for dinner if she can’t afford it,” said Vicki on Jeff Lewis Live on SiriusXM about the incident at the Tucci eatery. “I don’t expect anybody to comp my dinner. If they want to, that’s their option, I would never expect it.”

The Italian restaurant owner, Max Tucci, then called into the show.

“I’m debating a new cocktail — the Sonja Nongrata,” he said. “Sonja and I were neighbors in New York before the house got foreclosed. And so when she first came to the restaurant in June … I was very much neighborly: ‘Come in, it’s on me.’ … So she came. And after that, she thought she was always going to come for free. She’s only been there once since this incident.”

“She called me Saturday on my personal cell phone. She said, ‘Hi, I would love to go to [the restaurant]. I have to go to Jack‘s birthday at Boom Boom Room, so I want to come by. [It’s] my cousin Jack.’ First of all, it’s not her cousin — it’s her daughter’s cousin, Jack Morgan,” Max continued. “And so I said, ‘Great, how many people?’ She starts with two people … then, maybe three. ‘I’m bringing JLo‘s hairdresser.'”

Max said he would be out of town, but he reserved her a table and told her he would “send her something from me.”

“[According to] reports from inside, she already started a scene when she got [to the restaurant]. Why? Because she told me three people — she shows up with five,” said the owner. “She comes in, creates the scene, calls me at 11:30, and says, ‘I’m a celebrity — I don’t pay. Why did you give me a bill?'”

Later in the episode, Vicki was asked if she would appear in the upcoming season of RHOC.

“The answer is no. They never called me,” said Vicki. “[I filmed] nothing, which is very rare. I usually come in and do something.”

The host then asked if the network was “butt-hurt” over her interview for Dark Side of Reality, where she claimed that production knew about her mom’s passing an hour before Vicki, and they worked to get Vicki’s reaction on camera.

“[My interview] was taken out of [context],” said Vicki. “They probe you to say things … I should have never done it, and I knew they were setting me up. And I told Andy about it. He goes, ‘Well, you said that you’ll never forgive us’ … Well, it was pretty sh**ty … hearing that one of your parents died and they’re rolling cameras in your face.”
