“Real Housewives of Orange County” personality Vicki Gunvalson is sharing her thoughts about Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge tearfully hugging at the RHOC season 18 reunion.
While recording the December 2 episode of her podcast, “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast,” Gunvalson said she stepped away from Judge because of how she treated Beador during RHOC season 18. As fans are aware, Judge criticized Beador’s decision to keep consuming alcohol after her September 2023 DUI arrest.
Gunvalson said she spoke to Beador about her hug with Judge at the season 18 reunion.
“She said it was just awkward and something that had to be done. And I said, ‘I get it. I did it with Tamra when I really in hindsight shouldn’t have,'” said Gunvalson on her podcast. “But the only reason that Tamra and I are having situations is because I can’t stand the way she treated Shannon.”
Gunvalson also said she does not believe she “would ever hug Tamra again” because of “the way she treated Shannon.” In addition, Gunvalson suggested she did not understand why Beador hugged Judge. She also said she believed RHOC producers may have encouraged Beador to make up with Judge.
“For Shannon to do that, was just kind of like, Okay I knew she had to to move on. But it’s also like, is this showing an example of how we’re allowing other people to treat us? And then we can just say, ‘I’m sorry’ and it goes away? It’s not going to go away,” said Gunvalson, who stopped being a full-time RHOC star in 2019.
During an appearance on a November 2024 episode of Jeff Lewis’ radio show, “Jeff Lewis Live,” Gunvalson said she was upset with Judge’s behavior toward her co-stars. Gunvalson also denied that she was jealous of Judge’s position as a full-time RHOC cast member.
“I just think enough is enough. And she knows I’ve felt that way. It’s not because I’m not on [RHOC] and she is. I just think enough is enough. And everybody I talk to says, ‘It’s too much with her. She’s always in people’s stuff. But she doesn’t want anybody in her stuff,’” said Gunvalson to Lewis.
In an October 2024 interview on Nick Viall’s podcast, “The Viall Files,” Beador said she does not want to have a friendship with Judge again, even though they had a pleasant moment during the RHOC season 18 reunion.
“There’s been so many ups and downs. And there’s always something I’m doing wrong in her eyes. I’m saying the wrong thing or not doing something. And then in the end there’s the tears and ‘I’m so sorry. I want to be your friend again.’ And I’m not going to go on that roller coaster anymore,” said Beador to Viall.
Beador made similar comments about Judge during a July 2024 interview with Us Weekly. She said she did not believe she and Judge would ever be friends again.
“There’s always an issue she has with me,” said Beador to Us Weekly.
