In the February 18 episode of her podcast, “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast,” Gunvalson discussed Mellencamp’s February 2024 brain tumor diagnosis and subsequent emergency surgery. She said that she no longer holds any animosity towards Mellencamp. She also said she was thinking of Mellencamp’s estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, and their children, Slate, Dove, and Cruz.

“I have prayed for Teddi … My heart goes out to her, the children, Edwin. Everybody. I mean, it’s horrible,” said Gunvalson during her podcast episode.

She also said that she believes her past issues with Mellencamp are “really ridiculous” in hindsight.

“There’s no bitterness when it comes to health. I just wish the best for her. I hope she recovers,” said Gunvalson.

Gunvalson then offered a direct message to Mellencamp.

“So Teddi if you are listening, I wish you the very best. And my heart goes out to you. And you’ve got this girl. You are strong,” said Gunvalson.

Vicki Gunvalson & Teddi Mellencamp Did Not ‘Squash Their Beef’ in 2023

During a panel at the 2023 BravoCon, held in October 2023, Mellencamp and Gunvalson were encouraged by Bravo producer Andy Cohen to “squash their beef.” Gunvalson said she took issue when Mellencamp suggested she was at the January 6 United States Capitol attack during a social media argument. Mellencamp replied that she initially believed Gunvalson was unhappy with her because of her close relationship with Gunvalson’s now-former friend RHOC star Tamra Judge. She then quipped she believed that Gunvalson was “triggered” because she has stage II melanoma.

“I thought you had issues with Tamra and I being such close friends. Then I realized you were probably just triggered by someone who actually has cancer,” said Mellencamp, in reference to Gunvalson’s ex-boyfriend, Brooks Ayers.

According to People magazine, Ayers confessed he “forged medical records relating to his cancer diagnosis” in 2015.

Other Bravo Stars Have Shown Their Support for Teddi Mellencamp

Other Bravo stars have shown their support for Mellencamp amid her health issues. For instance, Mellencamp’s close friend and former RHOBH castmate, Kyle Richards, was with her before her February 12 surgery. She also encouraged her fans to “keep [Mellencamp] in [their] prayers” while filming her February 18 Amazon Live.

“We’ve been with Teddi every day [at the hospital]. Even sleeping there. We have been rotating. She has a lot of people that love her and a great support system. Thank God. Because that’s really important in times like this, the doctor said,” said Richards to her Amazon Live audience.

Judge also uploaded an Instagram post, wherein she expressed her love for Mellencamp on February 12.

“Join me in praying for @teddimellencamp as she goes into surgery today. Please also pray over her beautiful kids. Teddi Jo, I love you so much and can’t imagine my life without you—you’re the little sister I never had and the best friend anyone could ask for. Sending all the love, positive vibes, and healing energy your way. ❤️🙏 #prayercircle,” read the caption of Judge’s post.
