Video of Browns QB Shedeur Sanders’ Mom is Turning Heads

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders was not the only member of his family creating buzz during his NFL debut.

Both of Shedeur Sanders’ parents — Hall of Famer Deion Sanders and his mother, Pilar — made headlines as he shined in his first game.

His dad posted on social media during the game, sending a clear message to those who were doubting Shedeur.

“Oh yeah what now!” Deion Sanders wrote on X following Shedeur’s second touchdown pass.

While “Coach Prime” watched from afar, Shedeur’s mom was at Bank of America Stadium to see the action live. A video she posted prior to the matchup has drawn some attention.

“Aaaaaand you know itttt!!! Momma’s always present!” she captioned the post.

Some felt the video was inappropriate and took away from Shedeur’s moment.

“You look too old to be sticking out your tongue like you’re 10. Try a little class if you’re there to represent your kids,” one comment read.

Another added, “I would be embarrassed if my 60-year-old mom was conducting herself like that.”

Others showed support for Pilar and her support for her son.

“There’s nothing wrong with what she has on! It’s hot as hell leave that beautiful woman alone,” a supportive commenter added.

Browns QB Shedeur Sanders Wants to Inspire Change in Cleveland

Sanders has seen limited opportunity with the Browns through offseason workouts in training camp. But when he got his chance by getting to play a majority of Friday’s tilt against the Panthers, he capitalized, leading the team to a 30-10 victory.

“I’m thankful for being able to look in every player’s eyes and tell them, ‘This is new, this is a family. We’ve got to change,’” Sanders said after the win. “Me coming here, my vow is to definitely make change and change was made. I was very thankful, very excited being out there, being out there with the O-line and everything like that, I was so thankful being out there with them, receivers and everybody did their part and I feel like everybody believed.”

Some shrug off preseason action as invaluable. But Sanders took the game seriously, and it showed.

“Even though it’s a preseason game, typically — people don’t take these too serious — but that’s our Super Bowl. That’s each and every player’s Super Bowl,” Sanders said. “So the change is a family thing. It is a family. You got to be able to go to war with each and every guy and understand we’re not playing for ourselves here, we’re playing for each other.”

Browns QB Shedeur Sanders Has a Big Opportunity Vs. Eagles

The Browns are heading into a big week, with joint practices and a preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Sanders is in line to earn more valuable reps, although its still to be determined if he’ll see his first reps with the first-team offseason.

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski has been careful not to overreact to Sanders’ performance, especially with the team dealing with injuries in the QB room. Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel have both been limited with hamstring injuries.

“We need to get through the next couple days from an injury standpoint and see where everybody is,” Stefanski said. “I’m really focused on all of our quarterbacks’ development and every single one of these reps like they are last night, how important they are. So that’s what I’m focused on more than anything.”

The Browns and Eagles face off on August 16. Cleveland wraps up its preseason slate at home against the Rams on August 23.
