Vicki Gunvalson's son, Michael Wolfsmith, just celebrated his 39th birthday. While The Real Housewives of Orange County alum and her eldest kid have had some pretty fun memories captured together for all the world to see, Vicki's personal camera has snapped some of their sweetest moments together. Vicki's daughter, Briana Culberson, and Michael have a special connection with her. So much so that Michael is following in her footsteps. During an Aug. 2023 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Coto Insurance & Financial Services founder revealed that Michael is the Vice President of Life Insurance at the agency.
"He's doing an incredible job," she said. "I want to pass the baton to him and he's like, 'I'm not ready yet — I don't want to work as much as you do, but I'll work."

But these throwback photos of Vicki and Michael show them before they teamed up in the insurance industry. Although Vicki grew up in Illinois, California has always been on her radar. This throwback photo of Vicki wearing a "California" graphic tee while holding a young Michael shows that the West Coast had always been on her mind.

This old photo of Vicki, Briana, and Michael captured all of those fabulous late 80s trends, including Vicki's permed hair and bangs, in addition to Michael's sweet plaid blazer with (baby!) Briana's big collar on her dress.
The trio continued showing off their stylish outfits in another snapshot, this time on vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. In the photo, Vicki, Briana, and Michael (who both look a little bit older than in the photo above) are wearing matching "Vallarta" sweatshirts, holding hands, and surrounded by their luggage.
Puerto Vallarta holds a very special place in Vicki's heart — she spends her off time there and even owns several vacation homes there now.

Vicki took to her Instagram account on Jan. 4, 2025 where she posted multiple photos of her and Michael together in Mexico for his birthday. She then took to the caption of the post where she shared some major updates on her son.
"He's my world traveler, the best dog dad to Walter, a food lover, an incredible life insurance specialist, and an incredible son," she wrote in the caption of the post. "I miss you and so proud of you. You're living your best life and traveling and seeing the world on your terms. Be safe. You are loved."
