Wells Adams Invites Rachael Kirkconnell & Matt James To Bachelor In Paradise Season 10 After Bachelor Producers Made Her Feel Like A Failure

Bachelor in Paradise season 10 bartender Wells Adams invited Rachael Kirkconnell and Matt James to the beaches of Mexico, after the couple split four years after they left The Bachelor season 25 as a couple.

According to Us WeeklyWells declared that he wants to see Matt and Rachael on Bachelor in Paradise season 10, along with other infamous Bachelor Nation alums. He said, "Matt needs to come, Rachael needs to come. Victoria [Fuller] needs to come, Greg [Grippo]—everyone needs to come back. I also, obviously, want a lot of these new young [contestants] and fresh blood, but I love it when we have the heavy hitters of Bachelor Nation come back and I want to return to that. I need some more Ashley Is crying and I need Clares talking to freaking raccoons."

Of course, Wells is referring to Ashley Iaconetti's constant crying during her Bachelor in Paradise runs, and Clare Crawley's infamous conversation with a raccoon during the show. Wells also noted that "so many relationships" within Bachelor Nation "happened that didn’t happen on the beach where they should have.He pointed to Victoria and Greg, who became a couple after Victoria got engaged to and then broke up with Johnny DePhillipo during Bachelor in Paradise season 8, but they've also since broken up.

Wells would also like to see The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette contestants dating the younger Bachelor Nation alums. He said, "I have pitched this and I think it’s an amazing idea. Everyone come and everyone can date everyone. Hey, look, if you’re not into a cougar, that’s OK. Different strokes for different folks. But there is a world in which some young girl meets a really wealthy, distinguished gentleman — that happens all the time in the real world. And if it’s supposed to be a microcosm of the real world, that could happen there."

Wells hilariously pointed out that "there's a show called MILF Manor. Why couldn’t there be a cougar that takes down a hot young Benson Boone-looking dude on the beach? I think that would be the most amazing thing." Wells added, "The only thing is that we need to do it in a place where it wouldn’t be too hot because if you are a bit older, you might melt [in Mexico]. Maybe Palm Springs or Del Boca Vista, a place where it’s already a retirement community and everyone can get around in golf carts. I think it’s got legs."

Matt needs to come, Rachael needs to come. Victoria [Fuller] needs to come, Greg [Grippo]—everyone needs to come back. I also, obviously, want a lot of these new young [contestants] and fresh blood, but I love it when we have the heavy hitters of Bachelor Nation come back and I want to return to that. I need some more Ashley Is crying and I need Clares talking to freaking raccoons.

Rachael & Matt's Breakup Is Still Very Fresh

Wells is a very funny person, and it's likely that he was joking when he offered an invitation to Bachelor in Paradise season 10 to Rachael and Matt. Matt announced the breakup on Instagram on January 16, 2025, just hours after it happened, so it's still so fresh. Therefore, it would be a terrible idea for either of Matt or Rachael to look for love on the beach. After four years together, Rachael and Matt will need some time to process what happened.

Our Take On Wells Adams Inviting Rachael & Matt On Bachelor In Paradise

Wells' Ideas Are Bonkers

Hopefully, Wells was joking when he invited Rachael and Matt to Bachelor in Paradise season 10. Neither one of them is ready for a new relationship yet, and it would be exploitative to put them back on TV so soon after their breakup. It would be hard to watch if they were both there and had to watch each other date other people, especially for Rachael, because Matt broke up with her. Because Rachael said the producers made her feel like a failure the first time around, they can't be trusted with her in Paradise so soon after her breakup.

Wells' other ideas for Bachelor in Paradise season 10 are also bonkers. The Golden pitch could never work, but Wells seemed to know that and was most likely kidding. Bachelor in Paradise seasons 8 and 9 both failed, with none of the couples lasting after the show, whether engaged or dating. Rather than invite controversial contestants or introduce crazy twists, the show should go back to basics, and simply leave the contestants alone so that they can fall in love. If Bachelor in Paradise season 10 focuses on love and not manufactured drama, then it might actually be a success.
