West Wilson Caught Off Guard — Major Slip-Up With Imrul Sparks Tension on Summer House

Summer House star West Wilson made a huge slip-up when it came to his co-star and housemate, Imrul Hassan. They were not incredibly close during Season 9 as Imrul was off doing his own thing. So, what did West do wrong? Keep reading for more details.

West Wilson Makes Huge Slip-Up With Imrul

Season 9 of Summer House saw the arrival of Imrul Hassan, a friend of Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke. He has been on and off with viewers as they did not care for his behavior. Imrul had a rotation of women on every episode, including a threesome that Jesse Solomon walked in on. Jesse ended up getting his toe sucked in the midst of all of this, which was extremely scandalous. At the same time, Imrul was seemingly cut from scenes, leading fans to believe that he had been fired from the hit Bravo series. Now, his co-star, West Wilson, has been called out for making a major mistake regarding Imrul.

The two have been friendly throughout Season 9, but it never appeared extremely close. Unfortunately, around the time of the finale, which aired on May 21st, Imrul’s dad passed away. West wanted to pay tribute to Imrul and honor his loss; however, according to a viewer, he posted a distasteful photo of Imrul on his social media. The cast had a death party in the finale where everyone tested out the casket. West shared one of Imrul in the coffin, with a message about his dad:

• Aside from the fact that West is the only cast member thus far who has shown public support to Imrul for the sudden passing of his dad, I noticed he made a really tone deaf mistake. He originally posted a picture from tonight’s episode party of Imrul laying in an open casket… with the caption “Finale rn but thinking of my brother imrul.hassan tonight”

After seeing the error, West quickly changed the photo of the Summer House star.

Summer House Fans React To The Tribute

It was noted that West Wilson was the only Summer House co-star who expressed anything publicly to Imrul Hassan. They may have reached out to him silently, but West made his feelings known. Sadly, he initially did it in the wrong way and made himself look like a horribly tone-deaf person. What did fans have to say about this major snafu? Some gave him a break as they legitimately felt it was an accident:

• I think given the theme of this party it was likely an accident/overlook on his part but I’m glad he changed it and showed his support for Imrul.
• yikes, i’m glad he changed that quickly. also a little surprised Kyle didn’t post anything since apparently Imrul supports Kyle at his events irl and that’s how he ended up on the show.
• Slip ups aside, i’m glad West said something. Hope Imrul and his family is doing again. Losing a parent is horrible and i’m glad someone on the cast is showing support one way or another.

Most viewers were upset that no one else posted anything about Imrul’s loss and hoped they said something behind the scenes.
