Who is Las Vegas Raiders' most dangerous addition of NFL offseason?

Raiders favored to sign Christian Wilkins in free agency

The Las Vegas Raiders entered the 2024 NFL offseason with a big need on the inside of the defensive line, something they addressed with their most significant signing of the entire offseason, former Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Christian Wilkins.

Las Vegas gave Wilkins a four-year deal worth $110 million to improve the interior of their defensive front. Not only is Wilkins a fantastic pass-rusher (nine sacks in 2023), he's also proven to be a very good run defender, which checks multiple boxes for what the Raiders needed.

It comes as no surprise that Wilkins was named the Raiders' most dangerous new addition of the 2024 offseason by Bleacher Report's Ryan Fowler. Here's what he wrote on the 28-year-old.

The Las Vegas Raiders signed Christian Wilkins to a four-year, $110 million contract this offseason, and for good reason.

Wilkins cemented himself as one of the NFL's most dominant interior pass-rushers by racking up a career-high 9.0 sacks last season with the Miami Dolphins. He will now pair with Maxx Crosby to form one of the league's most feared tandems along the defensive front.

Wilkins tallied 45 pressures over the last two seasons combined. He'll force opponents to pick their poison between him and Crosby.

What to know about Christian Wilkins, the Raiders' new star defensive tackle

With Wilkins in the mix, the Raiders now have one of the best defensive lines in the sport, which is why Fowler nailed his pick.

Flanking the Clemson product is Maxx Crosby, one of the league's best pass-rushers, and Malcolm Koonce, who is coming off a breakout year. Add in Tyree Wilson, who is primed for his own breakout year, and the Raiders' line has the potential to be a relentless force that will be extremely difficult to block.
