Kailyn Lowry from Teen Mom shares why she chooses not to celebrate holidays with her seven children, stating, "I actually don’t do holidays." In an interview with E! News on November 19, the 32-year-old mom explained that her kids spend the holidays with their fathers, who have large families that they enjoy being with. "I’m happy to send them to their dads for the holidays," she added.
Recently, Kailyn welcomed twins Verse and Valley in 2023 and her son Rio in 2022 with her fiancé, Elijah Scott. She also has a 14-year-old son, Isaac, with ex Jo Rivera, a 10-year-old son, Lincoln, with ex-husband Javi Marroquin, and sons Lux, 7, and Creed, 4, with ex Chris Lopez. Kailyn expressed her pride in her children, saying, "Honestly, all my kids love each other so much. I couldn’t have asked for better kids, truly."

This decision aligns with her past statements, as she mentioned on her "Coffee Convo" podcast in 2020 that she wouldn’t be celebrating Christmas with her family. "We’re not doing anything. Like, I’m just not gonna have them so they don’t have to get each other stuff," she explained to cohost Lindsie Chrisley. She considered asking her kids if they wanted to exchange gifts but noted that they would likely be with their dads until Christmas Day. In September, Kailyn hinted that she might not be finished expanding her family after the arrival of her sixth and seventh children last year with her fiancé, who is 26.
Kailyn shared her thoughts on expanding her family during an interview with E! News on September 22. She reflected on a recent conversation with a friend where they both joked about being done with having kids. “Just yesterday, we were laughing about wrestling and saying we’re definitely finished,” she said.
However, she admitted that just two days prior, she and Elijah were considering options like IVF. Making a final decision about having more children feels “bittersweet” for her. “You think you’re done, but then you have these precious moments that make you question it,” she explained. She recalled sorting through her twins’ three-month clothes and realizing, “This is the last time I’m doing this. Are we really sure we’re done?”
Kailyn expressed concerns about how more children might impact her parenting, particularly in terms of giving each child enough attention. “I believe I manage that well now, but if I had more kids, I’m not sure I could provide everyone with the individual time they need,” she said. She praised Elijah for how well he fits into their busy life, noting, “He’s very calm and collected, especially when I’m feeling overwhelmed.” Kailyn confirmed her engagement to Elijah in August and mentioned how much her kids adore him, which she sees as a significant advantage.
