In a matchup between the two top teams in the Central Division, the Wild's homecoming after a three-game road trip was spoiled thanks to two goals from Jets forward Alex Iafallo.

Wild defenseman Jake Middleton had given the home side the lead 8:37 into the first period, but Winnipeg answered with four straight.

The Wild out-paced the Jets with 44 shots on goal compared to only 32, but they weren't able to get things to bounce their way.

The Jets have extended their lead at the top of the Central, standing at 36 points with the Wild in second on 30.

Minnesota will head back on the road on Wednesday against the Buffalo Sabres.
