Minnesota Wild stars Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy are among the top 20 wingers in the National Hockey League, according to a new ranking from NHL Network.
Kaprizov checks in at No. 3 on the list, trailing only Nikita Kucherov and David Pastrnak. Boldy slides into the back end of the rankings at No. 19.

Kaprizov, 28, has basically been a superstar ever since he made his long-awaited NHL debut with a three-point game and overtime winner in January 2021. The former fifth-round pick from Russia scored 51 points in 55 games as a rookie, taking home Calder Trophy honors. He then exploded for 47 goals and 108 points in his second season, which announced him to the rest of the league as one of the world's elite forwards.
Kaprizov was well on his way to a fourth consecutive 40-goal season last year before suffering a significant lower-body injury. He was among the favorites to win the Hart Trophy, having reached the 50-point mark in just his first 34 games of the season.
Across 319 career regular season games, Kaprizov has scored 185 goals and 386 points. He needs just 35 goals in the upcoming season to pass Marian Gaborik as the franchise's all-time leader, and he's only 52 points from being second behind Mikko Koivu on the Wild's points list. Kaprizov also has 15 goals in 25 career playoff games, including five in Minnesota's six-game loss to the Knights last season. He and the Wild are still seeking their first playoff series win since 2015.
Of course, Kaprizov's future in Minnesota is a major topic of conversation right now. He's headed into the final year of his contract and has not yet signed a lucrative long-term extension. The Wild are confident that it'll happen, but until he puts pen to paper, it'll be a source of some anxiety for Minnesota fans. Loaded with skill, Kaprizov is the only true superstar the Wild have ever had.
Boldy has emerged as a strong scoring sidekick for Kaprizov. The 24-year-old former first-round pick has scored 102 goals and 244 points in 285 career games, and he may not have even reached his prime just yet. A big, physical winger, Boldy also scored five goals in six games in last season's playoff loss. He's earned the right to be considered a top-20 winger in the sport. Boldy is under contract for five more seasons at $7 million per year.
