Will Tre Harris’ Holdout Trickle Down To Las Vegas Raiders Rook Jack Bech

Raiders select WR Jack Bech at pick 58 in Round 2 of NFL Draft

Don’t worry–although Las Vegas Raiders second-rounder Jack Bech remains unsigned, the 22-year-old is not on the verge of holding out. At least, not yet.

30-of-32 players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft remain unsigned to this day. The reason? A quest for fully guaranteed contracts.

Just like the ones Carson Schwesigner and Jayden Higgins received at 33rd- and 34th-overall, both who remain the only second-rounders across the National Football League to sign their rookie deal.

Tre Harris, the Los Angeles Chargers’ 55th-overall pick, was the first to do something about it.

This weekend, Harris became the first official holdout among the 30 Round 2 selections who haven’t yet signed the dotted line. With 93.75% of second-rounders supporting Harris’ quest for guaranteed money, the question is if others will too jump aboard the holdout train in the near future.

For those of Raider Nation, all eyes are on TCU alum Jack Bech.

After trading back twice in Round 2 of April’s draft, Raiders general manager John Spytek took advantage of Bech’s name remaining on the board. Using the 58th-overall pick, Spytek welcomed the 1,034-yard, nine-touchdown receiver to the Silver and Black.

A player who gives Sin City’s football team much needed pass-catching expertise.

For Las Vegas quarterback Geno Smith, Bech serves a similar role as Jaxon Smith-Njigba; the 34-year-old’s now-former teammate who last posted a 1,130-yard, 100-catch campaign.

That helps put the importance of Bech in this offense into perspective.

In the meantime, Bech has done little to show a holdout is on the horizon. The Raiders’ second-rounder has participated in team activities all offseason, both voluntary and mandatory, as well as partaking in events for the local community.

Such as the Battle 4 Vegas this past weekend, where the rookie receiver helped lead team Brock Bowers to a win.
