Episode 3 of Dancing With the Stars season 33 was released on October 7, 2024, following a delay due to the presidential debate. The theme of the latest episode took inspiration from the TV musical, Soul Train Night. Rosie Perez joined the other judges, Carrie Ann, Derek, and Bruno, as a guest judge on episode 3.
The Bachelor alum, Joey Graziadei, had been on the fans' radar after his show-stealing performances in the previous episodes. Joey and his partner Jenna Johnsson gave an electrifying Cha Cha performance on night one and a Rumba in week 2. For the latest episode. Joey and Jenna chose to go with Jive and performed on the song Shout.
The performance got them two nines of the week and tons of fan reactions on X. Fans of Dancing With the Stars flocked to the social media platform to say Joey was the "biggest surprise" of the season and might even "win the whole thing."
"Joey is by far the biggest surprise of this season, if he keeps this up he could genuinely be a contender to win the whole thing," one fan said.
Others claimed that he was "the best Bachelor" in the show's history, with some noting that they were "lucky" that the contestant was back on TV. A few complimented his performances, while others praised the backflip, which was a part of his latest performance.

Joey's first performance of the show alongside Dancing With the Stars pro Jenna Johnson, on Dancin' In The Country by Tyler Hubbard stole the show. Fans enjoyed his second performance on the song Shallow from A Star Is Born, a Rumba, even more, and praised him on X.
They were looking forward to Joey and Jenna's performance in episode 3. Joey's fans loved the pair's Jive act on The Isley's Shout.
Dancing with the Stars judges were also impressed with Joey and Jenna's performance, and all of them complimented The Bachelor alum for his skills. Bruno complimented Joey's rhythm with the music, while Carrie Ann thought his movements were crisp as she called him a talented dancer.
Rosie, the guest judge, said that his performance did justice to the Soul Train theme. Derek thought his act had so much content and that he packed more moves than a Uhaul.
Carrie Ann and Rosie gave him a score of 9, while Bruno and Derek gave him 8s, totaling his score to 34.
